It's exactly how it is "supposed" to work. That is the way our "educational" system is designed. Critical thinking is discouraged.

Trump was funny, logical, not a career politician, and the republican candidate. That's why he won. People are SICK of the current political landscape. I think the majority of americans would vote to fire them all and start over. We generate over 5 trillion dollars in tax revenue EACH YEAR and can't operate withing that budget. The current politicians are so caught up in the game that they cant see what really needs to be done. It is not that difficult, people do not need much these days. No one is starving, quite the opposite, poor people are obese. We waste money, time, and resources pretending these people need more food. No one is actually homeless, aside from the people that want to be. We waste money, time, and resources pretending that they want housing. They do not. They want to do drugs and sit around all day. The current political split is horrible. How can we be successful when half the country hates the other half? Neither democrats nor republicans are doing anything to help. They want to get elected, make money, and get their little social media clip of asking a gotcha question in a hearing. Enough is enough. The system needs to be rebuilt from the bottom up. We are enslaved to the politicians, and they will do nothing to change things. The worst people are attracted to politics.

Ballots shouldn't even list party affiliation. If you don't recognize the name of who you're voting for without the letter next to it, you shouldn't be voting for them.

I agree with you totally about the system. Unfortunately that is what we have to deal with. To fix it I think a start would be to limit Congress terms and the amount of money they can make. Also, they should be required to use social security like everyone else instead of what they have now. There also needs to be more scrutiny on politicians making money based on lawmaking decisions.

I do disagree on a couple of things. Trump won because he hit a nerve with fearmongering. He has no real plan for the country. We are still waiting on his healthcare plan and all the many other things he promised and never delivered on.

I also do not believe that every homeless person wants to be homeless.

The real "dumbness" is many people pointing out that Trump being elected is due to people not considering the alternative.

The alternative was Hillary Clinton... who lost even though she orchestrated the Steele Dossier fiasco... and Kamala Harris... who could not orchestrate anything at all. Even a clear communicable message.

It wasn't like the reincarnation of JFk was on the opposite ballot. The dems picked the most hated, flip flopping, double talking, snake in the grass, vindictive woman they could find and then someone who literally advanced in politics by being a side piece and had absolutely zero achievements except for soundbites of what not to say and being picked for VP only because she was a minority.

Do any of these politicians have a plan? They put all of their effort into getting elected. It seems they can only make things happen by taking bribes or agreeing to support some other random bill they likely don't agree with.

Is it really fearmongering if it's somewhat true? Crime is everywhere in cities, there are places you simply don't go if it is dark or if you are alone. People are getting murdered, fraud is rampant, migrants are burning Paris as we speak. The path we were going down was wrong, we need law and order.

Yes, of course, not everyone that is homeless wants to be homeless. But, would you say it's large percentage of them? Because, these things trickle down, we cant keep ignoring the 2nd and 3rd order effects from our social issues. The drug addict bums take away shelter space from truly down on their luck homeless people. They also make the shelters dirty horrid places. And they take away sympathy from the cause.

Trump is the male version of this. There were other options to nominate. Both parties could pick more sensible candidates.

People vote party lines most all the time.

Difference in Always democrats versus Always Republicans is the Democrats care about the Party first, country second. Heck, country might not even be second now that I think about it.

Well let's look at who has been picked to run since 2000.

For the right:

1) The new friend of the dems, especially the Obama clan... George W Bush
2) The person who went on a worldwide funeral tour and was spoken highly of by the dems as a "war hero", and who saved the dems healthcare legislation.. John McCain
3) The former governor of the blue state of Massachusetts.. Mitt Romney.
4) Current president.. Donald Trump.

For the left:

1) the Saul Alinski follower, married to someone who wasn't proud of America until the 2008 election, the originator of the phrase "you didn't build that", Mr "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor", Barack Obama.

2) The original "war on women" organizer through the "bimbo eruption" claim, the part owner of a family non profit that mysteriously only received large donations when she was in office, the only SOS that let terrorists overwhelm a US Embassy and kill the US ambassador while offering zero assistance, who illegally used personal, insecure, devices and servers to illegally communicate classified data to avoid scrutiny and open the information up to foreign interception... and illegally destroying the devices while under subpoena, who then orchestrated a hoax to spread lies about a Trump - Russian collusion claim... Hillary Clinton.

3) A person who had had to drop out of a previous campaign due to plagiarism revelations, who lied about where he went to college, who had to completely stop campaigning because he literally was too weak to continue, and who was literally torn to shreds in a debate by Trump due to Biden's own cognitive decline, and who had to be saved in the democratic primary by Jim Clyburn after Clyburn forced Biden to only nominate a black Supreme Court justice....Joe Biden.

4) A candidate who had literally rose through the political ranks by being a side piece to Willie Brown while Willie Brown was still married, who failed at her assigned duties as VP, who had cast the deciding vote to pass the $1.9-trillion COVID-19 economic stimulus package that began the inflation we still see today... Kamala Harris.

May I respectfully disagree with the notion that those who always vote red are as guilty as those who always vote blue. I've watched the blue/red adversary system for decades. The blues have gone crazy, hate America, hate our Constitution, and cannot be trusted to have power over anyone. Even if you find a local blue who seems trustworthy, he or she will be beholden to the blue nuts in WaDC.

So, no, I've not voted blue in a while and likely will not for the foreseeable future. Those votes are based on real life policies, not blind loyalty to one side or the other.

It's easier to vote red no matter what, when the democrat politicians are completely monolithic in their goals, ideals, voting patterns, and opinions. You have the rare democrat, Fetterman, who isn't completely a left wing communist extremist. And for that, the hyper lefties attack him.

There was a time, where who you voted for, didn't really matter all that much, because the end goal was always America first. When was the last time you heard a Democrat outside of Fetterman stump for America first?

And this isnt' an endorsement of the Republican party. The RINO's need to be elmiinated as well. But we at least have, SOME diversity of thought. The diversity is America first vs. the RINO's and it's an ongoing battle we are waging. There is no battle in the Democrat party. They've all moved to the extremist side. It's why you have progressive lefties like Bill Mahr calling out his own party.

You left out a lot of options \that were better for each side.

And, Obama was the best president out of all you listed.

I posted, factually, who the party chose to represent them in the general.

And as shown, the republicans put forth candidates who were liked, previously voted door, and even heralded, at one point by the dems... buuuut the dems didn't vote for them.

And the Dems decided to run hyper partisan candidates riddled with failure and vindictiveness.

Yes... the best president had a first term GDP 4 year growth, with a trillion dollar stimulus, of an average of 1.3% and Trump had a 2.3% first term average when you include the pandemic year. Makes sense.
