Willa Jean's chef is not participating in it, the website was corrected. Secondly, do you think Besh has control over everything his partners in these different establishments do?

Many on this board project certain political opinions on to me simply because I’m not part of the far right orthodoxy. Just because I believe the right is more of a danger than the left doesn’t mean I agree with the left. Most of my views would be considered moderate by most and when I lived in Austin I was viewed as a right winger funnily enough.

Nothing says danger like lowering taxes and government intervention.

I would venture to guess, in this instance, someone higher up than the lady running Willa Jean who had originally said she'd do this made a call.

Yet you’re seeing the results of what 4 decades of policies promoting unfettered corporatism has wrought. Google, Facebook, and Amazon now have an outsized impact on public discourse. Thanks GOP!

What's the alternative universe you envision that would have created a better framework?

The framework that came out of the labor movement of the early 20th century, which has now been almost completely eradicated. Combine that with robust consumer protection and campaign finance/lobbying reform with teeth and there you go. Republicans have spent two generations fighting all of these tooth an nail, and now are now under attack from the corporatism they installed. The irony would be delicious if not for the serious implications going forward as now structurally the system is too far gone to repair most likely.

How would that have made Google, Facebook, and/or Amazon different?

They all work together so just singling out one aspect without the other wouldn’t make much difference at all.

I'm waiting for trolls to set up a competing "bake sale."

Could make for some good entertainment.

Instead of having a competing bake sale, the archdiocese should host a second line in memory of all of the abort fetuses. I'd also make sure that it passes in front of the abortion cookie sale.

Hipsters minds would be blown.
