Why do people always ask for things they won't ever get?
Because what they really want is a year off with pay and they have a very good chance of getting it.

Before they agree to open schools? These are the people that are supposedly dedicated to teaching California’s children.
The correctly used line is, according to my public school teacher sister...
“All teachers want nothing more than to be back in the classroom with their students and would be there if it was safe and possible to do.”

So it looks like the teachers union is just an extension of the Antifa/ Marist/BLM terror groups.

Theoretically they are asking for the moon to get some of what they want.
In practice, they should be told to bend over and live up because they are gonna get it up the arse.

Yeah, it's mostly that, and alot of this:
quote:
- Closing all charter schools
Probably, the #1 thing on their list. Nothing is more threatening to them than private charter schools
I believe all the rest of this nonsense is pure posturing for the sake of having to points of contention to make it look like they're "giving up something." I dont think they're good at leveraging.

- Defund police
- Wealth tax, imposed statewide
- New income surtax, imposed statewide
- Single payer government healthcare, imposed statewide
- More money for homeless, including homeless shelters in higher income neighborhoods
- Increased property taxes
- An extra $250M from federal taxpayers beyond scheduled funding

Why are our "most educated" people always the biggest idiots
Posted on 7/29/20 at 5:16 pm to LuckyTiger
Have they thought about their future if, say, 80-90% of parents simply refuse to send their kids back to school?
Posted on 7/29/20 at 5:17 pm to LuckyTiger
If you have kids, work as many hours and/or as many jobs as necessary to get them into private schools. No excuses...

We've chosen to homeschool and it's worked great for us. My oldest scored a 30 on his ACT test in his junior year of high school, so we don't need these leftists teaching our children. Public school was a bad idea from the start, as it wrongly removes the parents' responsibility of teaching their kids.
