I was listening to NPR driving around for work yesterday, it was a large portion of the days broadcast.

Its like being married for 40 years and suddenly saying I want out, and want to go back to the way it was before, but keep everything I have....that only works if you are a woman in the United States, the rest of the world has consequences.

You want to stop free movement, fine, what do we do with the millions of expats that will be expelled from the EU and dumped on our shores....with no jobs.

You want no intervention from the EU courts, fine, but you also dont get the free movement of goods with trade.

They made a deal with the devil, and the devil wants his due. Theresa May cant make everyone happy, nor can anyone esle. These people shrieking in parliament should put on their big boy pants and fix it...they cant....and they cant make all the people happy including the EU.

If they dont swallow a bitter pill and split amicably, their economy will plummet. And no one can help with trade deals because no one knows what the split will look like and the bomb blows in March. Vote a second referendum and I bet the people vote to stay when they see what will happen if they dont. Its only a matter of time before the EU implodes anyway, dont burn your bridges now.

They want to be their own country again - which they already are. Quit giving excuses.

It's implied that this in some way is our problem. This is "Caravan, Part II". Tired of changing everybody else's diaper. Deal with it. Life's difficult - for everybody. Pretty soon, you'll start blaming the water for sinking the boat.

So the EU welcomes any Muslim refugee that wants in with open arms but will deport Brits with jobs because of Brexit?

That’s the kind of thinking that exemplifies why the EU will fail.

Guys dont misread me. The US passed the Marshall Act to rebuild all of Europe during WW2, giving them huge trade deals, lend/lease etc. Once they got firmly on their feet, they formed the EU trading bloc, kept the tariffs in place, and said FU to the US. Im glad to see it falling apart, will mean we can do trade deals one country at a time, to our advantage.

But the Brits just need to agree to stay in the EU, it will fall apart in another couple of years, and they wont face near the consequences of leaving now.

To say they want to be their own country, pretends they can keep all the goodies and split, it doesnt work that way. Had they never joined it would not be an issue.

Brexit proponents ARE EXACTLY LIKE CALI, they want to do their own thing, and expect the federal govt to protect them, leverage trade deals for them. Can you imagine if Cali did break away from the US? Russia and China would scoop them up in a New York minute. You cant flaunt your IT and movie industry, and ignore all the other aspects of being a part of the UNITED states.

The EU wanted to be the United States without being the United States, and it has failed.

Yeah...it’s a miracle the U.K. survived before 1993.

Disagree strongly. They need to be the first out because when it goes down if they are still in the Brits won’t have near the leverage they do now.

If the Brit’s stay they will get saddled with a bunch of what they don’t want on implosion

The people voted. Stick to their wishes and fix whatever may come. Its 90% political theatre.

Theresa May has tried about as hard to leave the EU as OJ Simpson did to fit into those gloves. The EU knew that and went through with this dog and pony show to ensure there was no deal so that there would be "disastrous consequences" if Britain were to go through with that, counting on voters to reject their silly ways and decide they're "better together". I hope both May and the EU guessed wrong.

You honestly believe this nonsense? We, the US, would take back Cali by force and tell them how things are going to be. You really think we would allow Russia or China to own a state on our mainland? Thats just plain ignorant thinking there.
