However, Having a same sex partner (or even opposite sex partner) is a choice and having a partner or lack thereof is irrelevant as to whether someone is gay.

There are plenty of kids that are obviously homosexual even before they reach puberty. One of my daughters had a friend that she knew was gay even before he did.

Are we sure that it isn’t an outcome of environmental factors. I think a lot of my personality is due to life experiences, rather than genetics. I’m sure there are identical twins who have different sexual preferences, and they are a close genetically as you can get.

a fetus has two hormones (estrogen and testosterone). one harmone takes over the other and a sex is determined. however, sometimes........one doesn't finish the job. when this occurs, the gay "gene" is possibly present. hence the reason why hermaphrodites exist. now....there are meds to take to help the harmone finish it's job after birth. but, for those that don't figure it out, there's a good chance that they will turn out gay. do i believe that life experiences can "turn" people gay? sure.......i suspect that society can make some people go against the grain.

Plus you won't have religion to put a straitjacket around you anymore. And if you do feel some kind of spiritual need, it's not like there aren't a slew of Marianne Williamson types around to give you whatever you may be looking for.
Seems to me it is a One-Stop-Shop for you.

It is linked to hormones, which is linked with heredity, which comes from genes. While there may not be a "gay" gene, there is something there.
I feel it is natures way of human population control. The problem is that we are free to make choices which convolutes the actual prevalence of homosexuality in populations. Some dude starts with a finger in his butt, likes that and may escalate it to another level as an example.

I am no rocket scientist, but during war times a lot of fathers lost their lives and some of these children may have been born and grew up into a fatherless home. With no male influences around the home, of course they are going to get a big dose of the feminine side.

run the test in twins. if it is a gene and one is straigh and one gay then it's environment not genetics as both have the same DNA code
