There is no company that wants to hire someone stupid enough to show up for a drug test with drugs in their system, especially after being offered a job.

Just because there are jobs Americans are not doing under the current system, doesn’t mean there are jobs they won’t do.

Sweden's social programs got to the point that 25% of their workforce opted not to work and live for fee on the state provided benefits. Swedes were historically known for being hard workers and never known for cultural laziness. Liberal socialism does some really dumb things.

That’s my point
No one wants to work in the trades anymore because they know the pay is trash unless you have the entrepreneurial skills to run your own business.

Their greed enabled by 20 million illegal workers. Take that pool of cheap labor away, and they'll either go out of business or pay reasonable wages to Americans.

Yeah, some do. Many also come to be worthless and engage in criminal activity. I’m fine with a program that allows a reasonable number of carefully vetted people from Mexico and Honduras to come here legally to work.

Some context around this: The highest percentage of Sweden’s workforce receiving government support is the current 11.9%. Sweden has one of the highest percentage of its working aged people in the workforce.
If there was ever a time when “25% of their workforce” was on government assistance it was in the 1990s when their economy was failing because the government had nationalized most industries. But these Swedes did not “opt”for benefits; the economy was in shambles and there were not enough. jobs as the government transitioned from their failed socialist state to a strong capitalist system that remains today.
Your point is valid, even if your numbers are misleading. The work ethic of Swedes is eroding under a generous welfare system.

I can't tell you how many we've had do just that, unfortunately. It leaves me scratching my head everytime and when they do pass, they can't pass a background check.
