There are only jobs they won't do under a generous social plan with welfare, foodstamps, section 8, disability, etc.

Although some illegals do get entitlements, you can't send entitlements back home. So they have to work.

Hunger is a great motivator. That motivation doesn't exist for Americans. It exists in the 3rd world.

Donald Trump, Gavin Newsome and Elon Musk would all be picking tomatoes in the hot sun if that was keeping them from starving to death.

FWIW, I’ve been seeing a lot more white and black landscapers lately.

Entitlements are the main problem in America, and it goes far beyond the wasted money. It has a huge negative affect on the workforce.

You’re right. But how many are actually able to and can pass a drug test?

Every morning I stop on the way to work ro grab a Red Bull, usually around 6:15 am. 90% of the workers I see are Latino. They come here to work.

I get sugar free 8 oz. It contains less caffeine than coffee. I have an 8 oz. coffee with my lunch. The rest of the day is caffeine free drinks. Meanwhile, people drinking cola all day are getting ten times what I consume.

unless they are working with heavy equipment or are high at work... why do we need to drug test them?

and if that is the agreed upon minimum to be eligible for employment, why is that not the agreed upon minimum for entitlement benefits?

and i hate drug use with a passion....but i dont need the guy picking fruit, pulling weeds in a flower bed or hell even the guy roofing my house to be able to pass a drug test. the mexicans drink beer daily on the construction sites during siesta everday around noon, so save me on the lecturing.

Yeah, some do. Many also come to be worthless and engage in criminal activity. I’m fine with a program that allows a reasonable number of carefully vetted people from Mexico and Honduras to come here legally to work.
But the ones that came here illegally need to go.

It's a different facet of the same problem. If you have to work to put food on the table, (most) won't endanger that with drugs. If you don't care, or don't need to work, you will.

Lazy, entitled, fat, unhealthy, addicts, etc. These are all part of the same problem.

I will not, under any level of hunger or financial hardship, work as Hillary Clinton’s gynecologist.

You can blame the lawyers all you want.

Have fun trying to insure any industrial operations or anything involving the use of heavy equipment/machinery if you do that, though.

i didnt say industrial. americans are already doing those jobs.

wtf does that have to do with residential construction that illegals are doing? are you saying americans wont do those? the companies dont have insurance on them and it works just fine.

my point though was, why do we have drug testing for employment but not entitlements?

And/or jobs Americans won't do for the same cash pay as illegals currently do.

I dispute the term “many”. The evidence suggest most Latinos are here to work. That’s also my personal observation.
A good example is the guy and his crew who painted my house. He’s put his sons through Jesuit and Loyola.

He specifically qualified that stance does not involve heavy industrial work.
