And you still don't have a clue what school choice really is (congrats on changing the subject by the way. Too bad you are wrong about private schools in August 2020)

I can't imagine there is any old links from individual schools that wouldn't take ages to find.

But here is an article about the response broadly that you'll ignore because you're an angry loon.

It amazes me the lack of comprehensive thinking by some Republicans.

Private schools are better than public in large part because of the added cost. The same as why some nice suburban public schools are better than alternative public schools. The added living expenses in the district restricts a lot of the problems from entering the school district.

Public funding the private schools eliminates that economic barrier. And (like student loans) increases the demand and cost of tuition for the same schools.

The other reason that private schools are better is because public schools have a state constitutional obligation to educate every child. It literally is in the state constitution. And private schools can turn down disabilities for lack of resources. Private schools can turn down students based on academic insufficiencies.

The lack of understanding for what actually is and will be is astonishing.

Yep, and even a bigger win in Minnesota, as Royce White will be the Republican nominee for Rep. IMO, White is THE person to watch, and if you haven't seen him, catch him before Bannon/WarRoom on Saturday mornings. The GOPe up in Minnesota are shocked to the core. They know that they cannot stop White, and that he will set the pace for the rest of the cowardly RINOs who side with Dems and their Fascist dreams.

Simple minds call names without providing any argument or content to back it up.

How many times have you done that in this thread?

It is exactly in line with my argument that Republicans take a stand based on propaganda (paid for by for profit private schools) without putting 10 seconds of thought on the matter.

You are fun this morning. A great example of the problem with the pro school choice argument.

I've got to go to work and make some money. Cheers.

Perfect example of the clowns we have to share a country with and why everything is falling apart.

Good. My brain, my choice.

Everyone should have the right to choose.

We support school choice.

The amount of rural republicans losing their primaries after taking union bribes and voting against school choice bills is a welcome thing to see.

The key here is people are paying attention at the local level This is really where it matters.

Republicans In Name Only candidates ride the fence between accepting Democrat Party operative money like Teachers Unions, not rocking the boat in terms of hurting these Democrat Party organizations with new legislation and keeping their right wing voters distracted with excitable issues these Democrat Party organizations really don't care about.

Private schools excel because they select their student body.

This is union propaganda.

Private schools teach children to read because they are more interested in children reading than in following the idiocy of “balanced literacy” or whatever bullshite they’re calling that abomination of literacy theory today.

Second, private schools can and will expel chronic disciplinary issues. Public schools enable them with “restorative discipline.”

You’re just mouthing union propaganda.

Schools are de facto prohibited from suspending a student for longer than 10 days.

Assault with a deadly weapon might allow a school to expel a student for a year. But it usually takes that to get an expulsion.

Children are throwing desks and chairs in grades 1 and 2. Teachers cannot restrain them by Dept of Ed rules. The inmates run the asylum.

There is a downside to school choice. I work in a public school in a high socio-economic area. 80% of our serious, violent discipline issues are out of district school choice kids.

There is no downside. Public schools have become an albatross monopoly against the taxpayers. The school districts have become to large to manage, too large to properly audit, and too large to hold anyone accountable.

School choice will provide an alternative for those looking for one. For those not looking for an alternative, it should create a better public school environment with less overcrowding and more focus on education.

A big part of the public school problem is that it is seen as a public service more than a school to educate kids. I have said many times that school districts should force parents to put their money where their mouths are by designating a school strictly bound by rules for students and parents to follow. Let's see how fast those schools fill up vs the public schools today with minimal rules being enforced and no accountability on students and parents. My guess is that the districts would have to reverse course and have one school for no rules and all others for rules enforcements. It's parent choice so which are they going to choose and which are they going to be invested in?

This primary season has seen *a ton* of rural republicans who oppose school choice lose their seats to challengers.

Isn't it possible that these rural Republicans don't want shitty students from poorly run cities screwing up their schools?

You have expressed multiple times your disdain for rural folks. You are a country club Republican elitist that wants all of us to act like the city Republicans in California. You want city dwellers to be able to dictate policy to the rural people you think are beneath you, exactly like the democrats do.

If you want school choice, then allow districts to opt out. It seems forcing this on districts that don't want it will be the republicans play instead of acting like the party of freedom.
