The winning ticket is Trump-DeSantis only because the fallout will be terrible.

If DeSantis wins the primary, Trump will go scorched earth and end up splitting the party enough to where some voters stay home.

DeSantis will be portrayed as RINOs by him and his supporters. The party will fraction and it will become less about the Democrat failures and more about the fissure in the GOP.

DeSantis does the heavy lifting for Trump (governing) and provides organization. Floats to back to back elections in 28, 32.

DeSantis would govern more effectively than Trump would, but sometimes you got to appease the guy before you can be the guy.

Trump / DeSantis 2024

DeSantis / Trump Jr 2028

This is how you sell it to 45....float Jr being the VP in 28.

If Trump runs DeSantis doesn't.

That's all there is to it.

DeSantis is not going to agree to be VP. It would be the most retarded thing for him to do.

He has more power, influence, and prestige as the governor of a major state. Far, far more. VP is the most useless job in the federal government.

DeSantis is not running if Trump runs so they will not divide the party. Whether Trump makes DeSantis his VP pick is still unknown.

DeSantis isn't hitching his wagon to Trump's baggage, and I don't blame him.

Big Ron is going to run. There is absolutely no reason for him not to. His star will not be brighter and any dem name is completely tarnished by Biden. Unlike trump he is employed and is running the most successful and most conservative state in the country

Big Ron will run and beat little don. Let’s hope little don and the trumpettes don’t become petulant children and sit at home.

If DeSantis doesn't run now, how does Trump recruit a VP that isn't being set up to run in 28? He has to have someone in place that people are confident in at his age.

Ron as VP is the insurance that if something happened to Trump, we don't miss a beat and he gets the nod in 28 with 4 years experience in the WH. 12 years of gutting the swamp and correcting the military fiasco.

His star will be just as bright in 2028 and there are no Dems worth a crap anywhere in the pipeline.

Also, who would want to step into the economic disaster that Biden is going to leave this country in? Trump can start to right the ship...DeSantis can bring it on in to smooth waters...in 2028.

But again, I don't believe DeSantis would run against Trump. There is no benefit for the Republican party, the country, or himself to do so.

I won't sit at home if Desantis wins the gop nomination. Me, my son, and at least five of my friends are writing in Donald J Trump's name if he isn't on the ballot. And there will be hundreds of thousands if not millions more like us.

No offense, but what has Jr. ever done in his life to make you think he is remotely qualified to be VP? This seems to be hero worship and coronation of royalty and weird.

Well then little don will continue to not be president and the left will continue to occupy the White House.

What makes you think there will be any difference next time?

No you won’t and no there’s not.

If you would write in Trump over voting for desantis then you deserve to have another 4 of Biden
