When was the last time there was such a large portion of the US electorate that seemed so invested in the victory of an autocratic regime in a fight with a democratic country?

Yes. 40 trillion in debt. We need to stop giving to everyone including our own citizens and immigrants who aren’t working

Again, what made them do that?

Iran doesn't share a border with the US.

If your choice is to defend Iranian terrorism, then I don't know if any rational point will influence you.

Yes. We followed Maidan on here, live.

The population of Ukraine was PISSED when Yanukovych pulled the rug on EU integration and made an unpopular trade deal with Rusisa instead.

Fanatical Islam and the numerous other examples were made possible by funding Islamic terrorist groups. See yourself out, they also fomented terrorist groups during the War in Iraq. How do you not know these things?

in the 1970's?

Oil policy has turned the Middle East against us since before WW I, When Standard Oil (USA) and British Petroleum (UK) backed the nomads for oil connections that the old Persian Empire would not agree to.

If you want the Cliff Notes, watch the backstory in "Lawrence of Arabia" then go back and do some real research. Eye popping history if you bother to get dusty in the original documents than learning the lazy (and often incorrect way) via the modern internet.

Just to be clear (ignoring the framing about 2014 you used)

1. Crimea was part of Ukraine

Correct. But what you clearly don’t know is that as per the terms the 1997 Agreement between Russia and Ukraine, Russia would maintain control of the deep water port at Savastapol where it houses its Black Sea Fleet until 2017. This port is instrumental to Russia’s military presence in the West as it is only one of two military ports that gives Russia access to the Mediterranean Sea (the other is Tartus in Syria which also came under threat during the Obama Administration.) In 2010, Russian and Ukraine agreed to extend Russia’s holding at Savastapol for an additional 40 years in exchange for a reduction in gas costs to Ukraine. However, after the coup in 2014, Ukraine’s puppet government stated that it would not honor the 2010 Pact and would force Russia out of Savastapol by 2017 (came directly from Yulia Tymochenko). It was only then did Putin invade Crimea and secure Russia’s military infrastructure.

2. Russia illegally seized all of Crimea in 2014 without incident

“Illegal” is a completely fictitious term as it concerns international actions. It’s just propaganda. Any other country, including the US, who would have been in Russia’s position would have done the same thing.

Yeah, no.

The US overthrow of a Democratically elected government to put the Shah back in power lead to the Islamic Revolution.

As always, the US shite the bed and created a monster because it couldn't mind it's own business

I’m not justifying Iran, I’m just trying to help you with your simple view of Iran. Understanding history and context is important. I figured a lawyer like yourself understood that but you know what they say about assuming!

In this case the necessity is with neither, but if I had to pick I would choose the one with resourses that we currently need. The other is our friend as long as we subsidize their socialist Islam loving welfare state.

Nixon opened the trade door with China and during their terms Western Europe was much closer to the US in terms of economics with very few commies and jihadist

Just because the US would have done something similar doesn't argue it was legal
