Not surprising.

It's a famously radical mosque tied to the community that fostered al-Mindhar and al-Hamzi (9/11 hijackers) and where they got support from the guy who was likely their Saudi handler/intel asset (al-Bayoumi). Bayoumi tasked another person from the mosque with getting them set up in the states, including...wait for it...flight schools.

And of course nearby is the Rabat mosque where our old friend Anwar Al-Awlaki was the imam before moving to Falls Church (where he once again led two 9/11 hijackers) and later encouraged/helped Nidal Hasan ahead of the Fort Hood attack.

Between the two - within 10 miles of one another, you have a massive nexus of American-centered Islamic terrorism history.
