My "not a helluva lot" comment is in the context of the big scheme of things, in terms of taxpayer money my friend. Sorry if I sounded contrarian either here or in my original that you responded to. I'm with you on this.

The amount spent on direct foreign aid is typically 1% or less of the overall budget. People usually vastly overestimate it.

It will never happen. There is no political will to cut anything. Beyond that, Trump has so alienated the left that there’s no way they’ll sign off on anything. I can’t believe he managed the trade deals.
