The transcript doesn’t help.
Trump should be more careful in his “briefings” and not use them as chit chat sessions. They should be used for information and policy. That would avoid this kind of silliness.

Trump speaks in generalities on purpose especially on topics he is unknowledgeable about. This topic is too technical to discuss in generalities. He should have never used the term "inject" when talking about UV radiation.
He should have just introduced the topic and allowed one of the doctors to elaborate on the use of UV.
With that said all indoor businesses like restaurants should install UV lamps in conjunction with their normal lighting. This can be done for less than a couple of hundred dollars. The UV lamps can offer the same UV killing abilities that normal sunlight provides outside.
Is it 100%? No. But it is a method of scrubbing indoor air constantly.

Everything Trump says is so-called "controversial." Trump knows this and he won't change. If you listen to what he said it's clear he wasn't talking about ingesting disinfectants. Trump will be fine.

My point is that he is on international television as the President, addressing a very serious medical issue and pandemic, and he uses the time to riff extemporaneously about whatever enters his head.
Under these circumstances he should take the messaging more seriously. He does this to himself.
