If I recall correctly, the operator Lisa Jackson did not record the phone call with Beamer as protocol would've been, and she changed her account of what was said multiple times.

I rewound the beginning of the Flight 93 story from the History channel. I did not know that the last minutes of the plane recording were classified and only the family heard them. I got busy and missed the rest of the show,

I would argue that destroyed was a correct term even before they fell.
Also I seem to recall that Lisa stated that Todd said “Lisa ..” and that she said something along the lines of”yes” and he said “ that’s my wife’s name “.

I saw this earlier and it was gut wrenching.
I empathize with Beamer too. I'll be damned if I'd let some goatfricker dictate exactly how and where I die. I'll fight and send one or two of them to hell before I go down, if I'm dying anyway.
Props to the heroes on the flight for facing certain death and spitting in it's face. We may all have to make that choice one day soon... will you go out cowering in a corner? Or will you go out making an ending worthy of legends?
These heroes that fought the terrorists on this flight... they're LEGENDS.

I’ve looked thoroughly online and cannot verify the transcript is real. I’m guessing it’s based on the 911 operator’s account? Regardless, it’s awesome to read and to imagine his situation.
I feel the passengers of 93 should be honored way more than they are. Statues, school and street names, etc.
Someone asked how would the operator know to ask what country they are from. Maybe she had a hijacking script she was following? But if not, yeah that’s an unreasonable question to ask pre-9/11.

That’s because there is no transcript of the call. The OP is historical fiction based on various accounts of the phone operator. There are phone transcripts from that day, and they are part of the public record. However, the Todd Beamer call has no transcript. That does not make him less of a hero, but lying about him is weird.

This. At that time many planes had phones in every headrest where the video displays are now. They even had a swipe style card reader in the handset so you could pay your $9 per minute.
