If true, it’s an act of war.

While I think this is certainly possible, even likely...

I would not trust Hersh's reporting on this. He constantly claims anonymous sources for some pretty dubious stuff.

I didn't read the article but I'm assuming we had cooperation from Norway. Big question was how involved France and especially Germany were. Does the article get into that?

That's quite a shift from your previous position that Russia did this to itself.

It's a deep sea open water dive. DEVGRU is a DA unit. This isn't in their wheelhouse.

Getting them on target without causing a a ruckus is certainly in their wheelhouse. We are talking semantics on who does the dirty work.

I wouldn't put it past them but I also think they wouldn't do it without Biden's approval and he seems too chickenshit to approve something like that.

You assume Brandon was even aware of this. I could see the CIA doing whatever the hell they want in this leadership vacuum.

Biden has been a beltway yes man for 50 years. Even if he didn't have dementia, he'd sign off on whatever they told him to.

You’re exactly right.

I won’t vouch for everything Hersh posts from his anonymous sources.

But our government/CIA/DOD etc certainly utilizes contractors for certain things in order to provide plausible deniability.

I’ve said this since Day 1

One country keeps committing acts of war, one country is fighting that off. We deserve to have our arse bombed for continually fricking with other countries.

If true, every country in the world should be at our throats.

Yeah, Hersh had “anonymous sources” that Assad wasn’t using chemical weapons during their civil war, which I think has been thoroughly debunked. There might be reasons why he reports stories through his personal blog.

Our intelligence apparatus has a lot of black budget money, there’s a lot they do independently that political leadership has no knowledge of.

He's "Status quo flo pro"

Never met a popular opinion he couldn't bandwagon upon. Even riding Bolton's Jock on this one.

The really entertaining part is how he attempts to show he's consistent on all his views
