And you are still a dumbass. I have lost count but it is well known.
Congress legislates. The executive enforces.

In a better world than this one, sure.

I’m pro human movement, but I’m even more pro institutional survival, because without functioning institutions, all moral ideals collapse into power struggles.

As with most problems, the problem is too much government,. specifically here, permitting so much discretion to the executive. We need more strict interpretation of executive power given by Congress.
In this instance, you sound like an originalist.

The real imbalance between the two parties is that the media is complicit with the Dems. If you own the media, you own everything.

For the dems on this board, imagine we had a system that made it very easy to lower taxes on the rich but very difficult for a dem to get elected and restore tax rates of the rich to their old level.
Put another way, imagine a party that promises to give stuff away for free to their voters (Dems) while the other party has to convince them that there’s no free lunch.
One party gets to be the fun, cool parent that wants to give the kids everything while the other party has to be the lame parent who has to figure out how to pay for everything.

The voters voted for Biden and open borders and got it.

It's not even about originalism or Textualism as the laws permit the discretion specifically, and, to account for other interpretive methods, that was the intent of this language choice. They all agree with the same outcome.
