Google says; Democratic gubernatorial nominee Gina Hinojosa has explicitly denied running on or supporting a state income tax, stating, "I have never supported a state income tax. I will never support a state income tax"

The candidates on both sides need to improve. I was just pointing out the change in demographics that also contribute to Texas going Blue.
Hell, NY has a terrorist as mayor, 25 years after 9/11. This is probably going to keep happening.
Another aspect of it, is conservative white people simply don't have children anymore (due to the economy) and if they do, the only have 1-2. Vs the Blacks, Hispanics, Indians that all have 8-10 kids each and typically get govt assistance to help take care of them.
Hell, NY has a terrorist as mayor, 25 years after 9/11. This is probably going to keep happening.

The Texas state Constitution bans an income tax for there to be an income tax the voters would have to approve that

Abbott is an idiot, that ad about the income tax was just bullshite counting on stupid voters who had fallen for it eight previous years to do so again and the independents aren't falling for that shite again

Regarding your 2. point, the liberals aren’t just feeling their states and going to Texas. They’re coming to Georgia, North Carolina, and even Tennessee as well. It’s bad.
