The Social Dilemma documentary

I watched this thing this morning. Overall I enjoyed the message about how social media is addictive and how it can create depression in kids. I also like how the people in this documentary admit the tech giants can manipulate people into group think.
Toward the end of this documentary, it takes a bit of a curve to the left. A little anti-capitalism and anti free speech to me. After thinking about it a bit more, I believe the documentary was a bit of a platform to promote censorship.
I’ve always said that social media has showed people what the left has always been about. They are now seeing this and trying to put the toothpaste back into the tube. I wouldn’t put it past the creators of this documentary about to not care about kids social media addiction. They are worried that kids are seeing the truth and they can’t control the narrative anymore. For as left as Silicon Valley is at the moment, they know that in this moment they are accidentally raising the next big conservative generation. That’s why they want people to unplug.

These tactics by the left are backfiring big time.

Netflix is full of DNC propaganda unfortunately...my wife started watching something from a few years ago called “Designated Survivor”. Holy shite was that terrible ... after a few episodes I had to shut it off. It made me sick; not just the leftist brainwashing but more that it was so blatant. It’s easy to see how the young folks grow up to believe the leftist drivel.

Designated Survivor was a good show until Netflix took it over.

Yep, they viewed social media as the last step for mass brainwashing. They never thought it would be used against them.

Now we get Bird Box and Cuties.

I also watched this yesterday. A lot of it I already knew, but there are some very eye opening components.
Big Tech is a major problem for humanity.

I can’t find the article now but I remember reading an article about how teachers were besides themselves with kids believing conspiracy theories and challenging them in class with them. The story mentions flat earth, but also talks about kids “challenging rape culture” and some other things.
I’m looking and if I can find the article I will. They are really worried that a lot of “young kids“, boys in particular, are challenging the teachers in topics like racism, sexism, climate change, and social justice.

It's a problematic conundrum; no censorship and the surety that gullible people will fall prey to propaganda...or Free Speech and the surety that flawed (or Evil) and/or misguided people will promote harmful ideas.
It all rest on the ability of the common folk to recognize Truth, and follow it; if the People desire Democratic governance. Otherwise, a wise and 'benevolent dictator' is the best shot at prosperity.
Democratic Rule is no better than the wisdom of the People to discern the wisdom of those they elect. Watch 10 minutes of MSM Media commercial ads...and judge.

I don’t agree with your review. I thought it was very central on the political spectrum and clearly laid out the problems with these tech giants and their ability to actually make people perform actions by changing their thought patterns and their social media being an echo chamber. It is becoming very dangerous and even these former employees are frightened.

He is referring to the people in the documentary who left these companies. They want you to

It definitely took a bend to the left IMO, but the over all message was good and everyone should watch the show.

Social media needs to be banned all together. It is a cancer that is slowly destroying society.

They asked one of the pioneers what his greatest fear from the social media crisis is, and he chillingly replied 'Civil War.'

No, it was never good, but it definitely wasn’t improved by Netflix

Spurred folks otherwise unlikely to vote but leaned left to vote in 2018 midterms.
I'll see if I can find the story on their GOTV efforts. It had a disproportionate affect on lib voters.
