The RNC threatening to skip TV debates in 2024, and frankly, I agree with this

There is absolutely no reason for the Republican candidate for president to agree to a television debate with whoever the incumbent is at that time. The media will be biased against him/her and will make sure the Democrats know the questions beforehand. In the meantime, social media and the internet peons who write for Buzzfeed and the like will have stories ready to go declaring the Democratic incumbent the winner before either candidate has said a word.

Debates are worthless political entertainment in an age where there is 24/7 news and social media candidates can turn to to shape their narrative. That wasn't true back in 1960 when televised debates became mainstream.

Especially when the Fox "moderator" is Chris Wallace.

Every person asking the questions is hard left. There is zero balance.

I think both candidates should be able to pick a moderator for opponents. Debates are good for republicans if the moderators make the democrat actually answer the questions.

Chrissy would be right at home at XiNN or MSDNC.

They should but they won’t.

Lot of the usual huffing and puffing but no blowing.

Republicans going to a Presidential debate against the Democrat is exactly like the Washington Generals going to play the Harlem Globetrotters.

Simple solution

Each candidate selects one questioner.

Those two pick the third to be the moderator.

They will each have a turn asking EACH candidate a question.

So each candidate will have a softball and a fastball in successive questions.

It's a rigged game.

Trump had an alternative system with his rallies. He could have just stuck with that and ignored the debates. I think they went ahead with them thinking that Joe would be so horrible that it would seal the deal but Joe's doctors managed to pump him with enough drugs to allow him to survive. That was a miscalculation by Trump. He should have skipped the debates or set up one moderated by Tucker Carlson and forced Biden to skip that one.

I don't know if anyone other than Trump could pull massive rallies though.

Republicans are the dumbest political party of all time

If Biden is running again in 2024 you push for as many live TV debates as you possibly can. His cognitive decline will be exponentially worse by then.

I think the candidates should ask the questions of each other. No moderator involved. Each candidate gets so many minutes to speak and then their mike is turned off.
Candidate A gets thirty seconds to ask candidate B a question. Candidate B gets two minutes to respond. Candidate A gets thirty seconds for rebuttal. Candidate B gets thirty seconds to respond.
Microphones are turned off except when it’s the candidates turn to speak. Allow ten seconds between each switch when there is no sound. Any unused time is accumulated and added to the candidate’s five minute closing.

Not only that, i love it when they say the crowd is "evenly split and balanced" too. Its laughable. The RNC should absolutely skip these. Campaign hard with rallies and ads. frick the MSM.

I tend to agree with that

Wouldn't be surprised if he stepped down before the end of his first term to be honest

The deck would be so stacked even Ben Shapiro would lose on fact checks by the MSM. It’s a zero sum game.

I say don’t engage in any of the typical liberal traps and let the chips fall their way.

The hardest part will be the domination of propaganda as it comes close to election time. The MSM, social media and possibly even the Feds will try and stifle conservative voices under the guise of “hate speech” and top it off by propping up the left.

If presented with a legitimate threat of losing they will have the corporations cancel any employees that don’t tote the corporate line.

I can almost guarantee you I would be fired or reprimanded if I posted Happy Birthday to President Trump on our Twitter webpage. I ditched Twitter years ago so I don’t have to worry about that but you get the point.

Also, lets be completely honest...how many votes do debates actually change? Do debates truly change the outcome of an election?

I'd love to slap the shite out of that little punk. And he was supposed to be the "impartial Fox News guy."

The debates are a joke.

I think they’ll should remove the moderator and let them ask each other questions.
