I agree about draining the swamp and getting rid of these establishment fricks, but Republicans are weak, and conservatives are the weakest part of the Republican party. Good luck with that..

You realize Trump is not a conservative, right?

The level of delusion and racist fervor some Republicans hold onto would be laughable if not for the 400 plus years of terror often concealed as public policy and rule of law. Many within the Party want to really revert back to George Wallace and stand in the schoolhouse door or better yet Andrew Jackson and the implementing of Black Codes and other domestic terrorism policies. How much more do you want to turn back the hands of time and hide behind the mantra of MAGA? And we call ourselves a CHRISTIAN nation!

1b progs have to be removed from office

We have to get rid of the rats that pretend to be on our side first.

1A and 1B are mutually exclusive. You may want a more conservative Republican Party. The rest of the country does not

You may get the party you want some day, but it will be at the expense of the country

Except most of you don't seem to want to embrace true conservative values. Those being strict adherence to the Constitution and limited government and agents of the government. You want silly culture wars and a police state.

Then why is Trump about to be nominated for a third time?

Because he's establishment? How dumb do you have to be to think that a former president, who has the most endorsements from elected officials is anything but establishment? This isn't 2015 anymore.

Tou have a cartoonish view of what conservatism is supposed to mean. The libertarian CATO apparatus that has infected the party over the past 3 or 4 decades has really pumped this "limited government" BS as nothing more than a ploy to weaken the right. There is nothing wrong with obtaining power and thusly wielding it in favor of your values. Our values are better than theirs, and more superior, therefor, we should implement them.

Everyone in the thread pulled the lever for Romney, McCain, and whomever gets the nomination this cycle. Then, they’ll bitch about the debt, reduction in freedoms, and foreign entanglements. Wash, rinse, repeat.

The Republican Party needs to flush the idiot MAGAs who have done nothing but act like buffoons. You guys do not know how to govern or even attempt to legislate. All you dumbasses want is to "own" the libs and smarmy soundbites.

The traditional Republican Party is fine with printing money from a manufactured crisis and throwing it out of helicopters at people, screaming “vote for meeeeee, see, I loooove you!!!”

The MAGA Wing is fine with printing money from a manufactured crisis and throwing it out of helicopters at people, screaming “vote for meeeeee, see, I loooove you!!!”

The majority of people who tend to vote conservative vote for one of these, because they dislike Democrats more than they dislike either of these two, and simply have nowhere else to turn. Or, they just don’t bother voting at all, considering both of these approaches to governing lead to the same dark place.

Nothing wrong with the quote above, it’s spot on. You are willing to hand over all power and authority to a very limited group of people who claim to share your beliefs. That’s fine, until they, because of The Nature Of Man, turn on you, and they will, because they can. The person you responded to likely believes that the power should reside with 320 million people who refuse to be slaves to the whim of the authority, and are free to govern themselves.

Maybe, but the nihilism you offer is far worse. You offer sound bytes and idiocy as an alternative. You are not serious people.....hell you are not even incompetent fools!

What I suggested is absolutely the polar opposite of nihilism. What we have NOW is nihilism (excepting the unstated reality that there IS an end goal - for those aligned with the MIC to fill their pockets with cash)
