The pilot crashed a multi million dollar government aircraft while flying for the US and killed 60+ people. The pilot was a public servant and the name should be public record. It’ll eventually be featured in many government reports. There’s no expectation of privacy here. Hell, there are probably teams of personal injury lawyers waiting to drop the pilot’s name into the caption of a lawsuit and name them as a defendant. I respect the dead and all, but the name shouldn’t be withheld.

They are withholding her name because of where she worked before this if I was to wager a very warm guess. It has nothing to really do with anything in my opinion, but it will certainly make things worse when the casualty is identified.
