re: The Pilots name must be released ASAP

This is the double edge of being transparent and everyone always having immediate access to any information in the world. When you let an investigation play out before releasing a name people get antsy and start to dig.

I’m actually a bit surprised nothing has leaked out since the incident.

Now having Trump and Pete in place probably stops some of the leaks because real punishment could be coming if you violate an order. It’s a little different when the sec of defense isn’t missing for days on end.

I'm surprised some civilians haven't leaked it. They know Mary, their neighbor, is a pilot in the NG. They haven't seen Mary in 2 days. Off to Facebook they go.

Trump or Pete should say they know the name but until the full investigation is out they aren’t releasing it so an impartial investigation can take place.

People will still be mad but at least give the reason for it.

If she lived on base then that could be why a civilian hasn’t leaked it yet. All the neighbors would be part of the military then.

Isn't she NG? Are they eligible for base housing?
