Using the results of yesterday's elections in several states as a gauge it appears a majority on the left side of the political spectrum and for some others, the right to kill their children up to and including the moment of birth is more important than any constitutional right, more important than free speech, freedom of religion, right to bear arms, etc.

As a Christian and a conservative I don't need any legislation banning abortion, the Holy Spirit reminds me murdering the innocent unborn is an abomination to the Creator.

The attempts by Christian conservatives to change the laws of man to fit their Christian beliefs is a losing battle when the majority of people they are trying to apply the laws to frequently do not share their Christian worldview and abortion is one issue that clearly illustrates my belief and observation. For Christian conservatives, man's laws are not the most important battle, the true battle is the battle for the hearts, minds and souls of our fellow man who are lost and wandering in the wilderness of a decaying and debauched society.

Galatians 5
King James Version
5 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.

13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

This^^^ would be a fairly accurate historical comparison to what the US has morphed into.

By not trying to prevent it from happening you’re enabling it. Read more scripture.

Saving a woman’s life in those exceptional cases is not murder to
rational folks. Cameron hung onto the “no exceptions”position, and it cost him.

Amazing how cheating gets you to believe how they want . Gas leaks , mail ins , vote switching glitches [feature], sending out wrong voting times ? Huh really? Instead of blaming our sham elections that never make sense they have you blaming single issues or people .

Well, evil is as evil does. The reckoning will happen and many will have to answer to their creator for the choices they made.

We should continue to fight the good fight, but most of all keep in mind victory is already achieved.

Murder is still illegal.

Jesus was fine with abortion if the mother sinned and the majority of abortions are for sinners out of wedlock

We are called as Christians to protect the innocent. Unborn babies are the most pure and innocent forms of life. Running from that fight because it’s politically inconvenient is cowardly.

Putting aside the moral aspects, banning abortion is a losing issue for the Republicans and they would be wise to avoid that issue in 2024. We don't need a repeat of Miss Lindsey's outburst in 2022 that only helped the Dems.

Explain why the Lord was performing abortions then?

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a man’s wife goes astray and is unfaithful to him so that another man has sexual relations with her, and this is hidden from her husband and her impurity is undetected (since there is no witness against her and she has not been caught in the act), and if feelings of jealousy come over her husband and he suspects his wife and she is impure—or if he is jealous and suspects her even though she is not impure—then he is to take his wife to the priest. He must also take an offering of a tenth of an ephah of barley flour on her behalf. He must not pour olive oil on it or put incense on it, because it is a grain offering for jealousy, a reminder-offering to draw attention to wrongdoing. The priest shall bring her and have her stand before the Lord. Then he shall take some holy water in a clay jar and put some dust from the tabernacle floor into the water. After the priest has had the woman stand before the Lord, he shall loosen her hair and place in her hands the reminder-offering, the grain offering for jealousy, while he himself holds the bitter water that brings a curse. Then the priest shall put the woman under oath and say to her, “If no other man has had sexual relations with you and you have not gone astray and become impure while married to your husband, may this bitter water that brings a curse not harm you.But if you have gone astray while married to your husband and you have made yourself impure by having sexual relations with a man other than your husband”—here the priest is to put the woman under this curse—“may the Lord cause you to become a curse among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.” Then the woman is to say, “Amen. So be it”’” (NIV).
