Math anyone?

It's 32 deaths

For some good news, the measures taken to prevent Covid from getting out of control is very likely to save lives from regular old ACTUAL influenza as well

So good job, America

So what you're saying is that the Trump administration coordinated this entire thing to take away our freedom?

Sounds plausible to me. I never liked or trusted the bastard.

It really depressing to see that the average American can't just turn off the fake news media when it comes to these mass hysteria's.

Sure. Never heard of the one world Govt?

Delta, something is amiss here. These insane reactions to the flu is head scratching. All flu viruses are corona viruses. Could all of the be the precursor to a financial reset? My wife has asked me three times today,"what do you really think is going on?"

You’re reading that incorrectly. I’ve heard low-T can cause reading comprehension issues.

I have corrected my post, but does ANYONE really expect 82,000 people to die in the U.S. from this crap?

I sure as hell don't.

They're trying to bring the country to its knees and wreck the economy. And it's working.

My wife works for a big restaurant chain, she said they've already lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in cancelled banquets and events. And we only have 1 confirmed case in the state.

I'm seeing folks on twitter saying the government should provide two weeks of paid leave to everyone in the country.

I'm salaried and can work from home, do I still get two weeks of free money?

That sounds like a nice theory but our government isn’t that efficient.

It's not our government greasing the treads.

I don't...because we're taking measures to avoid that.

There is a lot of hype out there.

This thing I don't think is ten times deadlier than the flu.

We only have one fully tested controlled population where we can see total number infected, even mild cases. This is the cruise ship that was isolated off the coast of Japan.

We actually have a correct number because they tested everyone. The mortality rate was under 1 percent.

What is the average age of people on a princess Cruise? The average age likely is around sixty. So on a boat full of people who are most sensitive to this virus the mortality of covid 19 was less than 1 percent, I think. Someone should check my numbers.

Anyway the real mortality from this virus is going to be likely below 1 if we actually yesterday everyone, which we aren't going to do.

So, I understand the controls in place now. However I think the risk currently are way overblown.

Truthfully, we need this trial balloon.

If this was 2004 SARS spreading we would be genuinely fricked

Evacuating parts of LA for Ivan, in 2014, was a massive cluster and turned out to be unnecessary as the storm headed east.

However, the traffic disasters led to the state and local governments rethinking their evacuation protocols and routes for the 2005 hurricane season.

The evac for Katrina was better for it.

This is the reason for govt action in a coordinated effort. Mandated quarantines and govt emergency control concern me though. I’m split dead in the middle. I can see how this could be a slippery slope

We are going to feel the economic impacts of these actions long after we stop feeling the economic impacts of the virus itself.
