Spending cuts he didn’t get
Because Mike Johnson and Trump chose to go with the BBB instead.
Is that Massie's fault that he tried to leverage the debt ceiling in order to get spending cuts and the leaders of the GOP chose not to use them?
When has the debt ceiling not been raised? When?
It has always been the position of conservatives like those in the Freedom Caucus to trade off the a debt ceiling increase in order to get spending cuts.

No, the "One Big Beautiful Bill" (formally known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act or OBBB Act) was not the same thing as solely raising the U.S. debt ceiling

Roger lying …..again. Makes sense since you finally admitted to being a liberal.

Which is very different than the vote of Massie’s I was referring to, correct?

Yes. He was the deciding vote.

So you’re good with raising the debt ceiling without it being part of a much larger bill?

Yet no cuts came to fruition.

I think they understand it after I explained their ignorance. However, they refuse to admit to being morons so they triple down. The distinction is clear. They just don’t like it because it makes them look silly.
Agreed

I’m the one that linked the site that gave the definition Roger posted. Perhaps you should read the entire thread. I warned you about aligning with Roger.

I think he is about to defend liberalism.

Will Donald sign the bill that gives Ukraine $800 million more?

No idiot. We are $40 trillion in debt with a $2 trillion per year deficit.
Any increase in the debt ceiling should be accompanied by spending cuts, period.

This is funny. You have no clue what a classical liberal is.
Ever heard of Cognitive Load Theory? I'm watching it happen in real time right now.

Classical liberals/modern conservatives/anti-statist libertarians. These overlap.
Our founders were classical liberals.

You don't see the issue with your defending it do you?

I don’t disagree. I guess Massie is an idiot for siding with the Dems and raising it….right?

it is funny how he only stands up when he knows he cant win. What a coincidence?

To get the legislation passed to release the Epstein files Massie got pummeled by the administration and their influencers. But he kept appealing to the people and eventually force Congress to pass his (and others) legislation 427-1 in the House and 99-0 in the Senate. In this particular example his performative stance became substance.
And then what happened,........not a F@cking thing.
If he wants to stop foreign aid, get a few congressmen on your side and target one piece at a time. That is how legislation is effectively passed. Massie wants to be a legislature without legislating.

What about all the other foreign aid over the years he's been in government?

Yes you do disagree. The Fiscal Responsibility Act was a raise in the debt ceiling accompanied by spending cuts. You have been disagreeing with that the last three months.
