Whatever we may think of Putin, he is no Stalin. He has not murdered millions or created a gulag archipelago. Nor is he “irrational,” as some pundits rail. He does not want a war with us, which would be worse than ruinous to us both. Putin is a Russian nationalist, patriot, traditionalist and a cold and ruthless realist looking out to preserve Russia as the great and respected power it once was and he believes it can be again.

They probably sending in the Chechen conscripts to do the tough house to house fighting so Putin does not have to explain the Russian troop deaths
If they send in the Chechens the west should declare a no fly zone and deny them air support

These people are morons.
Not as moronic as the American people, like you, that believe our government's intentions are good and wholesome.

Or just call his bluff and drop the airborne into Kiev and tell Putin if he does not back up quickly his country will be annihilated starting with his hometown and moving on to his vacation houses.
Either wants a full on war
Either wants a full on war

Yep this is the part where war crimes happen. He is about to release the goon squad. Be so sad if they somehow had an “accident” on the trip down. Unfortunately, and with legit reasons, nobody on the outside has the stones for that.

Chechens=war crimes incoming…well…exponentially more than what are being committed currently.

Today’s Russian attacks on a kindergarten and an orphanage are war crimes and violations of the Rome Statute. Together with the General Prosecutor’s Office we are collecting this and other facts, which we will immediately send to the Hague. Responsibility is inevitable.

12.Ukrainians delayed mobilization far too long. Decision not to hold on the Dnieper politically more viable than abandoning East Ukraine, but possibly a critical strategic failure militarily.
Ukraine was in a lose-lose situation. If they had ordered a general mobilization earlier it could have provoked Russia. Also it would have crashed the Ukrainian economy and resulted in political uncertainty which could have caused the Ukrainian government to collapse (that is the biggest flaw in semi-presidential and parliamentary systems with a unicameral legislative) without military force which was probably Russia’s preferred outcome. On the other hand, Ukraine was not as ready as it could have been.

Putin’s wealth is based in Switzerland and other foreign banks. No dictator since the Shah of Iran had to flee with a jet loaded with gold has not had a foreign bug out accounts. Russia and Switzerland are both members of the OSCE. Russia broke the OSCE treaty with the invasion and that means they broke Swiss law which allows the Swiss government to interfere in its finances system and freeze assets in Swiss banks in situations that they normally wouldn’t be able to do. The Swiss government has stated it’s going to go along with the EU sanctions so it’s possible that Putin’s assets could be seized.

BREAKING: Russian President Putin calls on Ukrainian army to overthrow leadership in Kyiv in televised address - AFP

Russian morale is lower than expected. Some units appear to have anticipated being met with grateful Ukrainian crowds instead of stiff opposition. 8/ 9.Leadership at the Platoon, Company & Battalion level highly questionable in some units based on behavior. 9/ 10.Russian troops are ‘green’ overall, noticeable reluctance to dismount APCs/IFVs and provide infantry screen for the armor when in contact. Heavy resulting casualties vs man portablt anti-tank weapons
That is not surprising. I have been saying for years that the ethnic Russians chose to identify as Ukrainians of Russian descent and hate Putin and the Russian government. It’s also not surprising that the Russian troops morale is low. They were lied to by their leaders saying that they were not invading and then all of sudden they invade.

I will give them some credit so far as they seem to be putting up a pretty good fight against Russia despite the pleas for outside help.
