Are you talking about the tank that drove up to some soldiers and opened fire?
Yeah, I've seen the full video.
I'm 75% sure it was a friendly fire incident.

The Putin bots constant shite posting in the thread has destroyed it.
I don't frequent this thread but am curious about the Putin bots. Point to a few of their posts so it's clear what you're talking about.

Let's keep an eye on "ourtrueeneny" above, coming hot right out of the gate.
A good recent example was a new account posting last week named dr90210. Before that, handles with "nosler" and "WokeGoBroke".
I think this discourse is sloppy and people are too quick to call them Russian. They could be, but are just as likely to be Western fellow travellers posting in the authoritarian InfoOps style, posting the Slava Intel and other Russia telegram prop du jour.

Probably. That seems the way on internet message boards.

Is there a difference between them and other fellow travelers posting from the other side of the political divide? Seems to me that whacko pro-Ukrainian/Zelensky contingent is as big as the whacko pro-Putin contingent.

I don’t see it as a Ukrainian/Zekensky versus Pro Putin.
I’m pro Ukraine and anti Russia.
Russia invaded Ukraine. You can gin up all kinds of excuses, and complicate things; however, you can’t make me believe that it all boils down to Russia shoeing their true colors as they have for decades by attacking their neighbors.
Russia is a warlike nation.

Thanks for clearing that up. It makes all the difference in the world.

I don't think many are excusing what Russia has done. I think many have open eyes about what Ukraine is/has been where US politics is concerned, and it's through that lens they form their opinion on Russia/Ukraine.

I've never done it or seen it, but it would be interesting to see how many substantial military engagements the Russians have conducted the last 25 years in comparison to the US. No idea how that comparison turns out, but it would be an interesting data point.

Russian history goes back centuries. Don’t stop at 25 years. Do the research. They have fought their neighbors, conquered their neighbors, and at one time controlled half of Europe.
Modern history doesn’t tell the entire story.

My point is about seeing things in rivals that we don't recognize in ourselves.
"Fighting neighbors" - have we ever done that? Have we ever taken land? Blah, blah, blah - honest question, do you believe the US is any more reluctant to use military force to achieve its objectives abroad than Russia today?
You don't have to be an isolationist to object to nearly everything this administration is doing re: Russia/Ukraine. You simply have to notice that over the last 14 months, Biden has fricked up nearly everything he's touched. I can't think of a single thing he's made better: economy, border, Afghanistan, COVID BS, censorship, bringing the country together - what has he accomplished? So even if I was itching to get into a hot war with Russia, I would not want it to happen under this retard's leadership because he very well could turn a 4 TD favorite into a loser.
ETA - doubleb, the last part of this post is actually responding to Doc above.

The vast majority of Biden criticism isn’t what I’m thinking of. Chrom is the one who made the original post re: “bots” and he’s a critic of Biden himself.

No doubt the US has done done things we shouldn’t have done.
Most would admit that.
And yes a weak link like Biden is not someone you’d ever want as commander in chief.

I have two reasons for not wanting America and/or NATO to enforce a no fly zone over Ukraine.
#1. I don't want to risk nuclear war with Russia.
#2. I don't want to risk any kind of war Biden/Harris in charge.

I'm right there with you and would add the following -
#3. I want the border, the war on the 1st & 2nd amendments, and Biden's retarded economic policies to be the focus of the American people - Ukraine/Russia shouldn't be a distraction from what matters far more to this country.

If you want to see some Russian prop, check above - complete with the standings of the "Europe Strong Tank Challenge". Russia won the gold 8 straight years against the fine competition of fellow medalists China, Belarus, Armenia, and Khazakstan)

This war is a reminder as to why we need a strong commander in chief to protect us from our enemies. The president isn’t hired to be a generous uncle.
