So last week theyre the largest sponsor of terrorism in the world but this week they no longer sponsor terrorism. This cope is amazing.
They better abide by the rules or we'll *checks notes* lift sanctions and give them $300 billion once they yank us around enough that it becomes politically unsustainable

We might as well put their name on the check.
Where do you get that Iran is getting a check for $300b? Or getting a check for anything apart, maybe, from their frozen assets?
A lot of jumping to conclusions on here.

Then why couldn't we open the SOH and get shipping back to 2025 levels?

$100B-120B of assets are not obtainable due to sanctions.
The sanctions were in place for a purpose. If the purpose dissolves, so too should the sanctions. Right?

I mean the frozen assets are $100B or so
58x what they had unfrozen via Obama's deal

For anyone watching these exchanges, you should absolutely ignore anyone who refuses to differentiate between:
- injecting capital into an established, resilient regime built around decades of avoiding direct conflict (JCPOA era) via the use of proxies and walkbacks;
- capital inflows to that "same" regime staffed with different leaders from entirely different eras with different conflicts and insecurities and motives who saw their decades-old predecessors vaporized en mass over 10 days
Or, at minimum, do that assessment for yourself.

Iran just kicked our arse
As predicted months ago, Iran put a strangle hold on the world wide oil markets and had us by the balls.

I don’t know why this is so hard to understand.
I guess It doesn’t fit the narrative of failure that many people are hoping for.

The purpose for the sanctions exists
The sanctions are being lifted due to our performance of the Iranian war of 2026
Iran is still run by the same radical Islamic regime who is the largest state sponsor of terror in the world. None of that changed.

And you said the reports yesterday are wrong.
You're on Step 2 right now.

Nothing that we didn't have in January, or through the JCPOA before we withdrew.
According to Vance, Hezbollah and Hamas have to cease in order for Iran to get anything. Hezbollah and Hamas no longer being a threat is vastly different than what we had in January. If you don’t believe Vance or Iran than cool, I’m just saying if those 2 proxies cease it would be a huge benefit to the world

America has control over about $2 billion. Is the whole world a party to this deal?
Genuninely wondering how this works.

The purpose for the sanctions exists
If the final agreement does not meet specs, the sanctions will remain.

Because of the threat Iran posed by shutting down the SOH
Now that the circular logic is over, we get back to my point being proven. Thanks.
