I gave my reasoning. This is more like a traditional vaccine, so it's logical that unknown consequences are less likely.

I think you will acknowledge that if this were not an "emergency situation" these vaxes would have already been shut down, given the adverse reports.

Anybody can put those adverse reports in.

And the average life expectancy of a nursing home resident is 1 year. The vast majority of them got a vaxx. Some of them died within a few months of getting the vaccine. Because they are old and die. But a few thousand of those end up on VAERS

Again im against any forced vaccination, against lockdowns, against any government intervention at all really

But your chance of death or long term issues with covid if healthy and under 50 is probably 1 in 1000

Chance of death or long term issue from vaccine 1 in 100000.

Orders of magnitude different

Novavax just submitted for emergency use with the WHO Sept. 27th. Once they get WHO approval they submit to the FDA for approval to use in the USA.I have been following this closely for many months!

Pride87 said that he had no clue why people were holding out for novavax when it’s basically the same as moderna and Pfizer.

He’s been right with so much that I tend to believe what he says.

How long have the trials been going on? Do we know the long term effects?

Since this is unknown, you are being speculative. Long term effects of Covid infection AND any Covid vaccine are unknown.

Agreed...those numbers can be bullshite.
That’s true with VAERS (anti-vaxxers) and poison control (Ivermectin, although this one was especially fricked up as the media misquoted the health director and put that false info on blast).

I’ve been doing a ton of research on this vaccine as well, specifically because it is different than the current ones. Do you recall why this person was saying they were the same?

The Novavax shot is based on recombinant DNA, which is what had been used in many vaccines for over 30 years. For example, the Hep B vaccine started out as a plasma-based vaccine. There were noticeable side effects until they switched it to a recombinant DNA-based vaccine. The side effects essentially disappeared.

This is a tried and true method of creating vaccines. Unfortunately, it takes longer to make them due to the process involved; hence some of the supply chain issues. Novavax has worked those out and is now waiting on approvals from WHO for EUA. They project it can be used as a booster shot option immediately in the US and as a primary vaccine in developing nations who they have contracts with currently.

I guess I’m surprised this other poster made such a claim and would like to know more regarding the basis for the statement.

Novovax was supposed to be submitted to the FDA for approval in the 4th quarter of 2021.

Certainly, these reports have been followed up on and verified or dismissed, right?

I check on this pretty regularly and it’s definitely being slow walked in the US. Other countries already have contracts for it.

No I can’t remember — my take away was that he said for those who want one not like the others to take and J.

You could search lsupride87 as poster and random words to try to find it. I can try as well. I just remember thinking well shite.

Yeah, that's the nice thing about the Novavax vaccine...everyone is getting a known quantity of antigen. IMO it's the main downside of the mRNA vaccines. mRNA vaccines are hosts dependent on antigen production. Some people will not produce enough, some people too much and most just right. But the antigen production from the mRNA will always be unknown on an individual basis.
