I don’t even know some of the places you referenced because they closed so long ago. Living somewhere 30 years ago doesn’t give you insight into the current problems there.

Your assumption that I have no current knowledge of is astounding as is your ignorance. You claim that you have no idea of places say 30 years ago when the whole point was the level of crime and violence then compared to now. Did I say anything about not being there now or having anything to do in N O now ? Maybe you’re just a completely oblivious person idk but the circumstances regardless of the reporting are dire.

It did exist and there are many examples of how cities change for the worse.

The one I grew up in never ever had a murder and now it’s common and they just busted the biggest drug operation in the counties history in that city last week.
There is trash everywhere and everything looks run down.

One reason why and I’ll let you come to your on conclusions.

One more thing… there was never an African Hair braiding business in that city either… now they are on every other block.

And if you go to a gas station youre guaranteed to hear loud music with frick that bitch **** being said every other word…. Yea maybe it’s always been so nice SMDH

Atlanta has nice pockets and the suburbs are nice, I lived in woodstock for a while and its great but it is objectively a shithole overall in the city.

Really simple test questions

Can an 18 year old female walk alone at night in the city, go for a run on a trail like Town Lake in Austin?

Would you let your daughter ride the subway or public transportation alone after dark?

The answer to these questions in most Democrat controlled cities is no

Something worth noting is that many (if not most) suburbs actively refuse to open shelters or provide services for homeless individuals. As a result, homeless people are often forced to travel to the nearest urban center in order to access shelter, food assistance, or social services. This is a major reason homelessness appears concentrated in cities. It is not solely a city problem, homelessness is a widespread issue that suburban areas intentionally shift onto urban areas

You sure did type a lot of useless stuff here that makes no sense.

In most cases, suburban areas fall under central, unified government. Do not blame suburbs for where unified governments chose to spend resources.

isn’t close to as bad as portrayed.

I went to San Fran not too long ago. We went into the historic “tenderloin’ area. Human shite and piss on the sidewalks, bums and bumetts laying and/or sleeping on the sidewalks, needles in several arms, and crackpipes in use, too many to count. A few people ranting and arguing with invisible people. Lots of tarps and cardboard boxes used to sleep in or other things. No police in sight until someone OD’ed in the street. So this was worse than portrayed by the media.

That I was 2 years old when he was hanging out at UNO? Yeah. He probably has a good handle on the current situation in New Orleans.

You seem to implying that becaus he lived in New Orleans before I was born and moved away years ago, he has a better understanding of what life in New Orleans today is like than someone who currently lives in New Orleans.

You’re, right. I don’t see the irony. Can you spell it out for me?

Your failure to understand simple words and sentences is a YOU problem, bud. But I bet you do understand and it’s just easier for you to feign ignorance than address valid information that doesn’t fit your preferred narrative.

Do I blame them for governing themselves? What gave you that impression?

People criticize cities for having homeless populations (and the issues and hazards that accompany those populations) while actively depending on those same cities to absorb their own homeless people. That’s just a fact. No blame needs to be assigned.

The fact that you said all of New Orleans (including LV and West End!) is dangerous and crime ridden says everything about your current familiarity with the city.

I was in the city every day 20 years ago. And while I did go out at night Uptown, Mid-City and Downtown, I also know the city is exponentially safer today than it was back then. The only reason I don’t go out much at night anymore is because I have small children.

Good grief, you called Gentilly a shithole, bro. Gentilly Terrace, Fairgounds, Lake Vista or Fillmore? Which neighborhood in Gentilly is the shithole? There are million dollar homes in all of those neighborhoods.

The topic is what?

Have our cities turned into shite holes.

The places he used to go were nice. They are no longer. They have turned into shite holes.

Irony is that you did not see it.

Cubbies, NO is the most dangerous city in the US per capita, and one of the most dangerous on the planet.

More irony. Same as before. You are so entrenched in your beliefs that you spout off stuff that makes no sense then backtrack, but still never see the faulty of your belief system.

It really does take some world class mental gymnastics. If it were an Olympic sport, you would repeatedly take gold.

Most of it is exaggerated based on my experience in Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and several other large cities. The black population is usually singled out, but I have always been treated very kindly by most. I cannot speak for places that I have never been. With that said, I prefer rural and small towns.

Bunch of PC nonsense. Move to a rural area that’s majority black and enjoy the safe community and great schools. Report back to us.
