From NBC News back in January...

quote:

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who had been overseeing the special counsel investigation, plans to step down after Robert Mueller finishes his work, according to administration officials familiar with his thinking.

A source close to Rosenstein said he intends to stay on until Mueller's investigative and prosecutorial work is done. The source said that would mean Rosenstein would remain until early March

And the news of the evening...

quote:

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is expected to leave his role at the Justice Department by mid-March, a senior DOJ official told Fox News on Monday.

Right on schedule. Start getting your goodbyes in Libs. The dream is almost over.

Nope. They'll claim the Mueller investigation was tainted because he is a republican. They will move on to the schiff investigation.

They will take down their mueller shrines and put that douche's portrait up instead.

Not a chance they let this end anytime soon. They need it hanging over 2020

Supposedly Barr does not like nonsense investigations. If they have nothing, he will not allow it to continue; therefore, investigation will end soon. I am unsure of Barr, so I have to wait and see.

They might be finally realizing that not only does Mueller not have anything but that Americans don't give a frick about muh Russia.

They need to switch gears for the election. Climate change and racism will lead the news cycle starting this summer.

for a normal President, yeah, the end of the SC would be the end of their worries, but, AMONG OTHER THINGS, trump is also being investigated by the attorneys general of DC and Maryland for violation of the emoluments clause, and by federal prosecutors in New York and the Attorney General of New Jersey for his inaugural committee. SDNY is especially bad for trump because they have jurisdiction over his political operation and businesses, and those aren’t protected by executive privilege, he cant meddle with those or pardon anyone.

dude should have stayed on reality TV.

that me too - I have great hopes for him - but refuse to invest any more emotional capital until I see something concrete.

I need to know that his fealty to the nation exceeds his fealty to the DOJ establishment.

in other words, only those who devote their lives to scamming the political system and have their publicly uttered beliefs hand crafted by the bureaucracy to conceal their real intentions should ever be allowed to succeed in the government.

You prefer the likes of political swamp creatures like Obama, Clinton who have never succeeded at any phase of life other than becoming millionaires by 'serving the public'

gotcha

the emoluments clause and inaugural committee investigations are about trump putting American policy up for sale. but yeah, laugh it up.

Oh it is 'tainted' alright. Andrew Weissmann left skid marks all over the thing to show us just how much taint was used.
