What?
Have you ever been to an evangelical church?

Grew up in one. All of them voting for MAGA which is basically my post.
They’re great at the “preaching the word” part, not so great at the “living the word” part

Southern baptists. Donating to operation Christmas child and Annie Armstrong twice a year doesn’t absolve a terrible outlook on supporting awful people.

Ahh makes sense...
My apologies.
I will say most other evangelical groups are different.

It’s just that you can’t make CHRISTIANITY (tm) your entire identity and also be a dick. You can do one or the other.

Interestingly, it was the liberal evangelicals in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s that put an emphasis on the social gospel of social justice while de-emphasizing Christian doctrine. We see the remnants of that today, where, by and large, Christians are not being taught even the basics of truths about God, sin, and salvation, and most can’t even articulate a basic understanding of the most fundamental teaching: the gospel of Jesus Christ.
With that said, Christians are supposed to love their neighbors (including their enemies) and obey God’s law towards everyone. We are supposed to seek to care for the poor and needy, but all of that must be guided by the truth of Christ in the Scriptures, including the prioritization of family and the church over strangers when time and money are limited, and the role of government and rule of law in our lives.

I've always suspected it was a byproduct of 5 point Calvinism.
People use hard predestination beliefs as an excuse to write off anyone they see as not Christian enough.

FooManChoo….you do a great job explaining the truth of Scripture. Well done my brother. Appreciate you and your kindhearted explanations!

We honor and do not worship. We ask for her prayers as you ask for prayers from you family. Except, the difference is she is the Mother of God and the most perfect example of what a fully human should be and act like.
The main purpose when we are in heaven is to praise and glorify God. Is there anything scriptural that states dead people can hear our prayers (or our prayer requests)? God hears our prayers, but Mary was 100% human. Giving her attributes of our creator through post-mortem intercession seems to be blasphemous.

As I watched this fake Pastor spew out his absurd excuse for going full tranny I couldn't help but recall St. Paul's prophecy in 2 Timothy.
The time will surely come, when men will grow tired of sound doctrine, always itching to hear something fresh; and so they will provide themselves with a continuous succession of new teachers, as the whim takes them, turning a deaf ear to the truth, bestowing their attention on fables instead. -2 Timothy 4:3-4
This is not the time to play the Moral Relativist game - eternal life or eternal damnation is not something to be toyed with. IMO we're closer to the Second Coming of Jesus than ever before.
The Last Things - death, judgement, resurrection, Heaven, Hell, and the end of time is something we should all reflect on - constantly.
Heaven is real and so is hell. In 1918 Our Lady of Fatima (70,000 people including atheist reporters saw the miracle of the sun) told the Visionaries we should pray for souls who have no one to pray for them. During one of the apparitions, the Fatima Visionaries we given a glimpse of hell. In her description of the vision Lucia dos Santos [she died a Carmelite Nun] said that had the Blessed Mother not ended the vision she and her fellow visionaries would have literally died of terror - so frightening was the vision.
I pray for this poor soul. You should too.
Hell, is the absence of God.

This kind of sick crap is why our church broke off from the United Methodist Church.
I was told (by UM leadership prior to all of the disaffiliations) that this kind of thing was not allowed, that it was against church rules, and that people pointing out example after example of this kind of shite were just fear mongering.
What a con.

the united methodist church methodist actually allow trans and homos to be pastors, which is why the church is tearing it's self apart speaking as a catholic i really couldn't care less. good riddance! they were always heretics.
Catholic Church is full of and protects pedophiles, and shall we talk about the history of the popes. Some nut job saying he's a woman pales in comparison to the absolute shite show that is the papacy.

Transitioning to the opposite sex.
What a lovely message to his congregation, so appropriate for the first week of Advent.

Just to be clear: This is the United Methodist Church of which we, the Global Methodist Church disaffiliated for crap just like that.

How did he prevent the vote from taking place?
It was not mandatory and left up to the pastors of individual churches. He decided for the church instead of letting the congregation vote.
I'm sad for those that are still there, as the locusts (queers) are coming and won't be stopped. I now go to a church that focuses on Scripture and service. I pray for those I left behind.

He says, "fibers have no reproductive organs, so there's no such thing as boy's clothes or girl's clothes."
Isn't it ironic that he has reproductive organs, therefore, by his logic, he is either a boy or a girl.
Yeah, God help this man.

I'd be careful with blanket statements like that. In the county I live in a man was just sentenced to 495 years for vaginally and anally raping several minor girls. Look it up. Autauga County, Alabama. Using your logic, one could say all heterosexuals are perverts.

God should strike their church with a lightning bolt. This is antithetical to Christianity.
