A constant stream of entertainment

Making claims like US tech and innovation will die without H1Bs and how bad this will be for the US economy

They can all suck my balls. Sucks to suck when the tables turn.

If these Indians and H1Bs are so crucial and vital to the US economy why can't these hordes of elite human capital do the same thing to make India a bastion of excellence instead of the giant outdoor toilet and garbage dump that it is

There’s another angle to this too. India’s government is choosing China and Russia over us. Don’t be surprised if this $100k rule gets dropped once India agrees to better terms

After recently spending 3 hours on the phone with someone from AT&T I couldn’t understand…I don’t feel sorry.

I don't like any country that thinks taking a grandma's life saving is ok. I blame their government for not doing more to crack down on those evil people. Scammers are the scum of the earth.

No it won’t. Can’t understand them anyway. Did a project where they outsourced engineering to India and it was awful.

If I get customer service in India they lose a customer.

I can’t understand a damn thing they say.

I love how there is never even the slightest thought of maybe making your own country work for its people.

You know, like Trump is doing for the US with this H1B change.

I’ve been in Tech staffing for 21 years. To be brutally honest, there is a gap amongst American developers and Indian developers in terms of quantity. The joke in our world is, find me a W2 Java Developer for $85/hour and you’ll fill every role you have.

I’m 100% behind pushing out H1B, but the US needs to accelerate our programs and train up our own, quickly.

So force someone else to pay for a corporation too cheap to train their own? Train your own employees or lose your business. You want to make something? Make it yourself.

Same business people that bitch about attitudes of younger generations want a ready made employee anytime they want at the exact price they want.

Companies may invest more in domestic STEM education outreach and internships once the faucet of cheap foreign labor is shot off

LinkedIn might be the most insufferable social media platform.

They are teaching code at 13 years old. We are teaching inclusion and pride flags.

You can’t just run a guy through a crash course on coding/engineering.

Same concept as the MLB - open a pack of cards from the 80’s vs now. 80’s black and white guys with the occasional hispanic player.

Again, don’t shoot the messenger, I’m on your side.

Making H1B not extremely cost effective will give room for US citizen young professionals to take those jobs, which will eventually train up our workforce

I’m supportive of H1B if it actually brings in talented individuals that we can’t get in the US (or those with a high level of education and expertise graduating credible US universities). Current H1B doesn’t generally do that, it’s being used to reduce labor costs artificially
