The left’s long term game plan regarding Trump’s USSC nominations

The left was ok with seating Gorsuch because at the end of the day, he was replacing a conservative justice. Now that the “swing vote” Kennedy retired, THEY CANT ALLOW HIM TO BE REPLACED WITH A YOUNG CONSERVATIVE and will use whatever means necessary to stop it.
Here is, imho, the left’s game plan:
Stall the nomination and vote until after October 1st when the next USSC session begins. This means BK won’t be seated on the bench.
Since he won’t be able to sit for the next session, scream bloody murder to delay the nomination and vote till after the Nov election so the “American people have a vote”. This will be the Biden rule argument.
Dems hope to win the Senate so the can deny all future SC nomination and votes till after the 2020 Presidential election. Their argument will be Trump is illegitimate, and/or unfit, and/or under investigation, etc
I believe this is their long term game plan to prevent BK from being seated and as an insurance plan for when it’s discovered that RBG is actually dead already. Democrats rule through the courts and not by democratic vote. They CANT lose the USSC for a generation. It’s all they have left, they’ve run out of ideas

I’d say it won’t work, but I can’t underestimate how big of pussies Senate Republicans are.

That’s not gonna happen. And they’re delusional for thinking it will.
Hell, the way they’ve behaved throughout this thing, I’m doubtful they take the House. All they’ve really done since 2016 is double down on the antics that got Trump elected in the first place. The American people are watching.

It’s also a lot close to November election and the recess before the election. They are trying to stall in the hopes they have 51 senators come January.

People aren’t stupid. Everyone except the Useful Idiots knows that this is a pitiful and tasteless stunt meant to stop the nomination of a conservative Supreme Court Justice by trying to tarnish his image. If you think this is bad, just wait if Ruth Bader Ginsberg croaks in the next year or so. People will be coming out with baseless claims all over the place.

That’s the take away.
If they are going this hard after a swing vote replacement, imagine what they will do on RBG.
shite is already getting out of hand.

All they are doing is setting up an excuse to impeach him in the future. They know RBG is about to die and if that happens and Trump nominates three judges they will lose the court for a long time.
If RBG does the Democrats will keep her alive with machines until another democrat wins the White House.

I doubt they can keep her alive for 14 years.

They gave her a deadline of Friday evening to say that she will be there on Monday. She played a little game and tried to show the U.S. Senate that SHE is in charge.
If they don't keep their word, and vote, it is time to buy them some Vagisil, in bulk.

Gonna backfire. Red wave coming. Trump's then gonna pull BK nomination and go with a younger, even more conservative justice and even more so when he replaces RBG.

If he doesnt get seated before the elections: red wave
If he gets seated: blue ripple.
I’ll take the judge and the ripple.

Kavanaugh’s nom isn’t getting pulled. He either goes to SCOTUS or his career’s pretty much over.
Save Barrett for the RBG seat.

The numbers don’t favor the Democrats when it comes to taking the Senate. I’d be seriously surprised if they did so.

Democrats already lost one of the seats that had for over 130 years.. They though was a auto dem seat and lost it.. I see a lot red this nov

I think part of their long-term strategy is to discourage anybody from accepting a nomination for the USSC.

Besides what you stated, they're trying to delay the vote to avoid having their Senators in red states having to cast a No vote on Kav before the election.
It's a lose-lose situation for them. Suppose they are able to pick off a few RINO's for the confirmation vote but it requires all Dems to vote No to defeat Kavanaugh. They will get slaughtered in the midterms in red states. It would almost be worth it to lose the Kavanaugh nomination to gain another 5 or 6 Senate seats.
