The LA Mayoral Race Isn't Being Cheated—It's Operating Under the Rules Republicans Allowed

I keep seeing threads claiming Democrats are "cheating" in the Los Angeles mayoral race.
Technically, they're not cheating. The election is being conducted under California's vote-by-mail system and ballot-counting rules, many of which were expanded during COVID and later made permanent. Ballots can continue to be counted after Election Day if they meet legal requirements.
If you don't like the results or the process, point the finger at the politicians who had years to challenge, reform, or replace those rules and didn't.
The real story isn't cheating—it's that the rules are being followed, whether you agree with them or not.
If you're looking for someone to blame, start with the do-nothing Republicans who complained about the system but failed to change it when they had the opportunity.

I don't keep up with California politics. When did the republicans have the chance to change or prevent these laws? They had the numbers to pass something?

Victim blaming is a wild take.

24,000 to 0, uh ok. I guess you have to suspend the rules of math, but I guess the Republicans are responsible for math, so it’s ok??

Even AI knows this :
California has a persistent history of political corruption, with several high-profile officials recently indicted, jailed, or under investigation for bribery, embezzlement, and fraud.

The composition is a direct result of Republican incompetence for decades.
Look at the failure of not passing the SAVE act.

You really had to do some mental gymnastics to formulate this thread.

Can you verify it by another source other than X? Can you verify it was counted?

Oh sure, just like 2020. Following the rules that enable massive fricking cheating. It can be both, Democrats can be using the rules put in place while still cheating. This isn’t difficult to comprehend.

What rules?
How did the Cali Rs "allow" them to occur?

Quick question.
Should all ballots be counted or should all legally cast ballots be counted?
The rules were put in as a legal way to cheat. Any thinking person recognizes this. They count manufactured ballots.

Maybe you should. Just because you picked it up off of some X poster does not make it so. Can you verify that this is a real ballot submitted or that it is in fact something sanctioned by the California SoS?

By California standards, Jane Fonda almost qualifies to be a Republican.
