Instead of a macro discussion of Judaism, I would like to give a micro one.
I have always lived in the deep south. Until college, I had never known a Jew. Public school educated, played sports and grew up in a white post WWII suburb. I think a Jew owned a downtown department store.
In college was my first exposure. Atlanta was expanding and and there were two fraternities and one sorority. My wife said most people skipped the Jewish house because there was no point, you were not going to get a bid.
Is that discrimination, I don't know.
Years later I asked her if they would have admitted Ethiopian beta Abraham Jews? "What are you talking about".
"I'm talking about discrimination, your sorority is having lawsuits filed against them".

Israel is the only bulwark against Islam in that entire part of the globe. Imagine the reaction of Muslims not just in the Middle East and Africa but also places Iike Minnesota and Michigan if Israel somehow was overrun by Hamas and Hezbollah and ceased to exist as a nation.
