They know that capitalists love the free market and the private sector.

They are censoring the right using private corporations. Private corporations that have government protections, incentives, and contracts.

When conservatives complain about censorship, their response is that it is not government censorship, but private companies who are censoring. Private companies,be they a social media company or a bakery should have the right to choose who they serve, or don't serve...

Well yeah - to the left, all things are weapons, nothing is sacred

They are at war

The right only cares about their pensions and 401k’s

I've been saying this privately in a large group chat with friends where we talk mostly politics

The democrats have the smartest most unscrupulous people in America behind them between tech and ivy league academia. You sadly have to rely on arrogance/them overplaying their hand. Thats why this election was like playing a Saban/Belichick team after giving them 4 yrs to prepare

There are court cases that put specific limits on when a private company's rights end. Basically, cases have found the closer a private company acts toward a public entity the less autonomy it has. There was a landmark case in Alabama (maybe Marsh vs. Alabama) wherein a paper mill basically owned a town. The supreme court rules that even though it was private property but because it acted like a public town the company could not throw people they didn't like out of town.

What if we just canceled our social media...

and started talking to people one on one again?

its not ingenious at all. Calling people who dont think like you racist terrorists and silencing free speech is about as hap-hazard and clumsy as it gets. They just get away with it because they have a sycophant following, own media, and most republicans lawmakers are gaping pussies.

Yeah, they should.

But then, the Left goes full Stalin on private platforms like Parler that actually do allow free speech.

It's legal, but not right. Just about the time I got used to getting daily updates from Parler, they razed it to the ground.

No. Conservatives always retreat. Stop it.

but at the same time, government never met a private corporation that they didn't want to regulate.

It helps when they can steal an election from a president who was planning on removing their protections.

Less government. Take away government protections and let those private companies handle their own lawsuits like every other company has to.

Seems like they’re just following the communist blueprint more so than coming up with any clever strategy on their own.

That would put conservatives at a disadvantage. Progressives will have a communication tool at their disposal that will allow them to reach millions of people in real time. Conservatives will be making phone calls...

Then they would be liable for content posted by ALL users, including the leftist kooks. They would do the same shite they are doing to us, which is "equitable" to use a term you leftists assholes like.

That is like saying rats are "ingenious" for invading your house.

I don't think "ingenious" is the correct term for "pursuing what you want with no conscience because that pursuit is ingrained in your DNA".

Then call or write your representatives and tell the you want some accountability from the corporations. The government can bust corporations. You just have to push your politicians in that direction.

Or lay down and give up.
