People that want me to take my rifles out of my closet and give them to them because of some nutcase halfway across the country shouldn’t be allowed to make a profit on such grotesque violence. If they want me to help solve the problem of violence in society by giving up a basic right, they can give up the right to make such films.

Which is more likely? The extreme left Hollywood elites made a movie with conservatives as the good guys and liberals as the bad guys or the extreme leftist Hollywood elite made a move with the liberals as the good guys and conservatives as the evil ones?

Well a "deplorable" ends up being the hero.

Idc either way. Knowing that Hollywood and most of the film industry hates my guts, for my politics... makes me steer clear of all of their products.

I was disappointed when they decided to delay the release of the film. I've got a crush on Emma Roberts and she plays one of the deplorables being hunted.

I'm cool with it, I'd just like to see a sequel where they drive bamboo strips under Hillary's nails to make her confess to multiple crimes.

They melt because they are just as sensitive as the left. It’s embarrassing, really.

I think this might be part of your answer right here. Like you I haven't seen the movie of course but from what I hear of it releasing a movie like that as charged as the political climate is right now seems rather irresponsible.

With the help of the left wing media that is stoking tensions and anger on a daily basis this movie is likely to cause some people to do just that, go off the rails.

It's been done a bunch of times: "The Most Dangerous Game" wiki

It's an old story and looks like an interesting adaption. I think the latest mass shootings are the main reason it got delayed.

Been wracking my brain trying to remember the title, but in the early 80's there was a similar (kinda) movie about "elite liberal" types that would invite predictably gauche Reagan voter types to dinner - and poison them.

It was one of those arty/farty type movies like Henry and Maude, whatever that flick was about the young dude marrying the old arse woman. You know the movies the people who smoked cloves and liked Echo and the Bunnymen talked up.

Anyway this movie was all about them. I mean it was good killing worthless Reagan voters and conservatives, right? No one questioned that. It was more of a "They are dragging us down to their level, and I feel an undefinable angst" kind of thing.

Frick Hollywood. And the horse they paid a stuntman to ride in on.

Point stands. Cant bitch about the president being a meany pants because he said bad words. And then you say he's the reason for division in America. Then create a movie about hunting down his supporters.

I kind of agree.

I wish they would release the movie, no matter their motive.

It would make people admit what’s happening.

Yes. A deplorable woman has to convince all the other MAGA dumbfricks from SEC country that they’re being hunted.

Based on the trailer all of the “hunted” are portrayed as exactly the same... highly overdone southern accents and poor white trash straight out of coal country... even though they represent the entire south.

The hunted may win.. thanks to this one woman who is smarter than the rest.. but you can bet it doesn’t paint the deplorables in a good light.

Also based on what I’ve seen the gun wounds and death scenes are realistic as it gets. Like using buck shot to shoot someone in the gut realistic.

People who don’t get why this is irresponsible and incendiary right now I don’t get. This is fanning the flames, and it takes a sick frick to even imagine a film like this right now.

The Most Dangerous Game is a great classic... man vs man... it had no political tone in a highly charged political climate. No comparison.

So you think a Progressive was going to release a movie that will hurt the left right before a National election.....

The movie was fantasy for progressives to motivate them to go out and fight politically for the left.

This movie isn't what some of you think it is.

It's a Progressive's wet dream.

Both sides are evil in the far Left's eyes.

On one side you have uber rich over-privileged ego-maniacle gun-toting capitalist/corporatist "Elites"... commanded by a woman (hooray feminism!). And everyone is white, except for 1 black woman (how much you want to bet she is the lone dissenting voice crying "This is wrong!" among the evil Elites).

On the other side you have 12 all white redneck hillbilly racists/bigots/white supremacists... also led by an arse-kicking woman who can apparently kick the shite out of every man she encounters (hooray feminism again!), and how much you wanna bet she's a lesbian who criticizes the other rednecks for their racist comments.

In the end, EVERYONE DIES, except for one white-trash woman, and probably because the one black woman helps save her.

I mean we don't actually know the ending, of course, but after watching both of the trailers, I'm betting this is what happens.

All the white people die, but one, who turns out to be a non-racist lesbian.
All the men die.
All the rich capitalists die.
11 of the 12 hillbilly racists die.

This thing pushes identity politics.
Shows guns in their worst capacity.
Suggests every red-stater with a southern accent is a low-educated hillbilly racist.
Suggests there's a viable reason for these southern whites ("racists") to be hunted and killed.
Suggests there's a viable reason for evil capitalists/corporatists to be demonized and killed.
And suggests men are weak in general and women should dominate them.

Who's cheering in the end? Every Progressive out there.

Because elected Democrats are the only people bitching about Donald Trump’s rhetoric, right?

I guess you’re willing to gloss over the fact that Hollywood has been one of the most vocal advocates against him. Don’t let those blue shades get in the way of common sense.
