Hollywierd has apparently made a movie showing liberal elites as TDS enraged murderous assholes who look down upon people from flyover country to the point of justifying their murder...basically an extreme version and might I say parody of how we all see the Leftist elites.

And we melt about it? I obviously haven't seen the movie, but I think the kneejerk "they made a movie about killing Trump supporters!!!1!1!!!" reaction over what the movie is about is premature. Hollywood may have just called out their own people, as we have clamored for for a long time, and we may have squashed it.

Missed opportunity. Everybody calm the frick down and think before going off the rails.

I doubt the movie is meant as parody. Probably closer to a rallying cry than anything.

Probably because at every juncture the left says that Trump needs to tone down his rhetoric because he's being too divisive.

Can't cry and be the victim when you make movies like that.

Hypocrisy and all.

I only saw one trailer, but it looks obvious that the liberals are definitely the bad guys, psycho, and the Trump supporters are the heroes that would outsmart and take down the would-be killers.

Maybe it's me, but if their objective was to say it's ok to kill conservatives I think it would have been done differently. Unless of course, this is made entirely differently than almost every Hollywood movie ever made.

Probably like Saw where the good guys always get chopped and screwed.

Point stands. Cant bitch about the president being a meany pants because he said bad words. And then you say he's the reason for division in America.

Then create a movie about hunting down his supporters.

Yeah, it looks like a deadliest game movie where the survivor is the hero.

Idk why people are melting about it. It looks like it's basically an adult Hunger Games, just instead of killing each other, the rich people hunt them.

No one is melting, cuck. We actually want them to go forward with the movie.

I saw a conservative pundit the other night say he hopes it comes out. It’s an honest view of how the elites view us and at least they are finally out about it.

I agree with OP, let them release it. Let's see what it's about.
I would prefer to know.

Well Hollywood has never cut trailers that are misleading about the movie.

It's been done a bunch of times: "The Most Dangerous Game" wiki

It's an old story and looks like an interesting adaption. I think the latest mass shootings are the main reason it got delayed.

Of course. I mean, the trailer for Joe vs the Volcano was funny.

But, with almost any movie ever made, the "hunted" aren't the bad guys. This is either a movie calling out the elitist attitude, or a movie that obviously goes against movie norms to make the victims the bad guys. Either way, it wouldn't be good for the Left.... intentionally or unintentionally.

The problem is that it's inciting two political ideologies against each other in times of a very heated political clime.

So what, if the liberals are bad guys and the "deplorables" are good guys?

What little was released of the trailer shows maybe two "main villains". The "deplorables" have apparently one "hero", who probably survives along with maybe one or two of the other 12 conservatives that are abducted to be hunted.

That means probably 95 minutes watching likely ten of the 12 conservatives hunted down and killed like dogs, before the one or two bad guys get their comeuppance at the very end. Very lopsided ratio there.

Does that make sense? It may have been a decent plot for the movie if they hadn't so obviously and blatantly made it about liberal elites versus deplorable conservatives. I mean, the original title was going to be "Red State versus Blue State" FFS.

If there's any actual desire to try anything to bring people back together in this country, this movie wouldn't help. Hollywood isn't trying to help, either. They have an agenda to push. Ask Johnny Depp or Robert Dinero or SL Jackson candidly, if they'd take up an offer to hunt and kill "redneck conservatives" if they had the chance... you know they would.

FTR, I think this movie will inevitably be released eventually. Might not even be too bad if actually taken as satire. But the very real threat will exist that seeing "deplorables" hunted, tortured and brutally murdered on screen could motivate a segment of the increasingly violent left to attempt real life killings of conservatives.

I don't know. Downvote away. But I think the movie is a bad idea.

Well, let's see . . .
The Hollywood left's message: Guns are horrible. Guns and religion are disgusting. Everything about guns is bad. The number of guns owned is inversely proportional to one's number of teeth. Mass shootings are the fault of Trump and law abiding gun owners. The 2nd Amendment is root of all evil.

Peace, love, respect for your fellow man . . .

. . . except when the Hollywood left sees a potential profit opportunity.

Sounds like you are the one losing it. The huge point is not the idiots being brought to heel and throwing the whole thing out. It's the idea that such idiots exist in a world who could normalize making it. It was pretty clear from the get go that the "movie" would never make any public viewing. It's just laughable that the industry has jumped the shark to the extend that they have. The next thing will be the campier side will now shout they have been "silenced"...and can't express their "Values" in a fashion. However the pressure to drop it likely came from left wing sources who fear the repercussions in the upcoming presidential cycle. Any panic melt was coming from that side.

I intended to buy a ticket to a different movie then drop in on that one to keep from supporting the makers but to enjoy the laughs. Had to be some comedy gold in the way the little Hollywood figs portrayed the Homers and Jethro's from Missouri and Waffle House Georgia and Iowa in their characterizations of the prey. And the educated, sophisticated leftist sportsmen and women from N.Y. and L.A. who wouldn't know a firearm from a condom and just simply enjoy the sporting life and the interaction with their hunting dogs. What a time to be alive.

Which is more likely? The extreme left Hollywood elites made a movie with conservatives as the good guys and liberals as the bad guys or the extreme leftist Hollywood elite made a move with the liberals as the good guys and conservatives as the evil ones?

From what I've read, one of the hunted ends up hunting the hunters.

Seems like a big overreaction to me.
