Lots of things might happen.

Hell, Tennessee might win the SEC next year.
As remote a possibility as that is, it is infinitely more probable than Trump getting impeached for this BS.

What insanity! We see thousands of salt-of-the-Earth honest folk at Trump rallies - cheering his policy accomplishments and fulfillment of Campaign promises - and the opposition is made of violent, borderline Fascists who trumpet the delusion of Open Border with Government Universal Healthcare (utterly impossible)...and this piece of crap dares to think that Republicans might slam Trump. Hell, Republicans who even OPPOSE Trump's policy will likely be primaried in the next Election...with Trump paying a visit to their District.

Gee Whiz!

On what grounds?

"…In 1970 Gerald Ford declared that an impeachable offence ‘is whatever a majority of the House (considers it) to be at a given moment in history’ and that ‘conviction results from whatever offense or offenses two-thirds of (the Senate) considers to be sufficiently serious to require removal’. …" Same link

You honestly think Gerald fricking Ford saying this means he has overridden the constitution of the United States of America?

If Gerald Ford demanded to frick your wife would you make her do it because you thought it was now the law?

You know...I understand how the left does not like him. He is going against pretty much everything they stand for. But I am wondering exactly what you think he has done that is impeachable?

I'm pretty sure that most people on this board (On either side) do not understand what it takes to be impeached.

Marine, is that you?

FIFY

I am very happy with a Trump presidency. If the uni-party and the Deep State could turn him from his purpose that would be very bad.

He doesn't appear to be willing to continue the Perpetual War agenda of the Uni-party, AIPAC and the Deep State.

Before you try to go too far along with this train of thought, take a look at this link, that makes a pretty clear explanation of the impeachment process and what is required to do so. This link even delves into Ford's explanation saying, "This view has been rejected by most legal scholars because it would have the effect of having the President serve at the pleasure of Congress. However there are some, particularly in Congress, who hold this opinion."

You find this impeachable, or are you just trolling? I am wondering (not really) if you are trying to have a serious conversation.

No, I most certainly DO NOT find it impeachable. It is what -I- want him to do. Break all that up. Geez.

But the constant attacks on him, his wife, his children, the BS court rulings, the whole thing - he is bucking some powerful forces.

Only a Gorsuch could view such a scenario with impartial neutrality. (Hint: I don't think there are a critical mass of Gorsuchs in the good ole USA.)

The vast majority of citizens would contextualize any such 'evolution' of the Constitution into an impeach-at-will form of government in the light of over 200 years of history that itself has been and still is the avant garde of all human forms of societal organization.

Such contextualization would create massive social dissonance in relation to such a movement and would result in chaos and, most certainly, civil war. Yup, I just said that.

I think the stage is being set for impeachment. Maybe. The GOP may chicken out if that is even in the works.

Congress is less popular than the president.

Electing Trump was the equivalent of healing a broken leg by cutting it off and beating up your doctor with it.

So, the party that looked deader than disco the month before the election and was almost single handedly saved by this political outsider that resulted in their holding majorities in the House and Senate are going to turn around and impeach that same person?????
