It appears the FBI lied about the mysterious J6 pipe bomber, or at least Steven D'Antuono did.
D'Antuono was in charge of the FBI Detroit Field Office when they tried to setup a group with a bogus Whitmer kidnapping plot. He was then promoted to Asst. Director of the DC Field Office. After J6 he worked hand in hand with the US Attorney to charge and prosecute many of the J6 prosecutions. It's also likely he ordered the raid at Mar a Lago which was carried out by the DC Field Office rather than following protocol and turning it over to the Miami office. The Miami office wasn't notified until hours after the raid had begun. D'Antuono needs to be placed under oath again by the Republican House when they have the support of a Trump DOJ.

Phone companies dispute FBI testimony on pipe bombs suspect, key lawmaker reveals
The new revelations heighten the mystery—and scrutiny of the FBI—surrounding one of the most disturbing security failures on the day of the Capitol riot.
“In June 2023, the former Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, Steve D’Antuono, who oversaw the pipe bomb investigation, said that the FBI received corrupted data from one of the cell carriers and that it most likely contained the identity of the pipe bomber. Given the significance of this information, my Subcommittee sent letters to the three major cell carriers, asking them to respond to Mr. D’Antuono’s claim of corrupted data,” he said.
“Every major cell carrier responded and confirmed that they did not provide the FBI corrupted data,” Loudermilk said.
“Additionally every major cell carrier confirmed they were never notified that the FBI had any issues accessing the data. This contradictory testimony raises some serious questions about the status of the investigation into the pipe bomber and about why the case remains unsolved nearly four years later,” he added.
Last year, D’Antuono told the House Judiciary Committee that the FBI did not a receive complete phone data from telephone carriers because some of it had been corrupted.
“We did a complete geofence. We have complete data. Not complete, because there's some data that was corrupted by one of the providers, not purposely by them, right. It just -- unusual circumstance that we have corrupt data from one of the providers,” D’Antuono testified in a transcribed interview.

The pipe bomb was there to frame MAGA and was a backup plan in case they didn't get the "insurrection"
Wonder why all the communications were deleted from the SS agents during this? The were told to abort the pipe bomb once they pulled everyone into the capitol.
Julie Kelly has nailed this from day 1

He sounds like a true operative within the FBI. This is an individual that needs to be seriously investigated and indicted if found to be falsifying or covering up evidence.
Trump has to be careful about who to send the DOJ after - but this sounds like somebody that deserves it.

When I Google search "how many cell carriers in the US", the results indicate there may be around 30, with the top 5 considered major carriers.
It sure seems like the subcommittee (if their purpose was to conduct a thorough investigation) should have sent out 27 more letters simply to demonstrate they are credibly thorough, considering it may be well known that some investigators are lazy and not likely to contact every cell carrier with a request for data. Someone up to no good, just might choose a lesser known cell carrier for that reason.

It's amazing the amount of leeway you are giving this government and FBI...

They busted every other J6er with geo-fencing, yet this guy is the one whose data just so happened to be corrupted? Yeah, right.

And those "pipe bombs" look very much like the kind of training bombs the FBI uses. In any event, who is dumb enough to use a 60 minute kitchen timer for an event 12 hours away?
Fake bombs and false flags by our bureaucrats should be a criminal offense equivalent to idiots calling in fake bomb threats.
