After 25 years, Gary Larson is doing new Far Side material, exclusively on his website:

Always loved his stuff, LOL. Hopefully he doesn't get politically leftist.

As far as newspaper comics go, I think he is the very best. I think his comic is too much about basic human stupidity to be politically slanted.

Really glad to see this, love the Far Side!!!
I always liked the hell cartoons he did, but all the other ones are good. I could see him lampooning some of the things that have been happening in more of an indirect way, but I would be shocked if he got political with it.

A big part of me will always love the simple line drawings that were more than just line drawings. (And keeping Rapidographs flowing was an art unto itself.)
Of his first three digitals, IMO the first was overdone, and the second two were just right.
Overdone being a disease caught from CGI, just because you can doesn't mean you should. Less is better. Or in the eternal words of Jack Webb, "Just the facts."

The Far Side and Calvin & Hobbes are the two best comic strips of all time.

He’s not doing new material
ETA: I should have said new Far Side material
Says it’s not a “resurrection” of Far Side. I suppose he means he views this as a different set of works

The ‘New Stuff’ that you’ll see here is the result of my journey into the world of digital art,” Mr. Larson said. “Believe me, this has been a bit of a learning curve for me. I hail from a world of pen and ink, and suddenly I was feeling like I was sitting at the controls of a 747.”

Couldn't agree more. Grew up with both & still laugh at both today.

This was always my favorite.

Bloom County and Calvin & Hobbes are always going to be 1 and 2 for me. Everything else is fighting for 3rd place. Admittedly Bloom County loses a lot of its zing if you did not personally experience the 80s.

Always my favorite Far Side panel.

they carry a residual humor so that all things being equal the second is funnier than the first
