Trump got up on stage last night and started with facts that anyone should applaud. He then began to turn to fake news. El Paso did not get safer after a wall and was never one of the nation's most dangerous cities. This is completely false. Yall will still call it a win though. Orange Man Good!

El Paso Times:
quote:

From 2006 to 2011 — two years before the fence was built to two years after — the violent crime rate in El Paso increased by 17 percent.

So much data to refute President Trump's point.

Thanks.

El Paso was never one of the country’s “most dangerous” cities, according to federal crime data, and the city actually saw a drastic decline in crime long before a border fence was erected in 2008. In fact, violent crimes fell by 34 percent between 1993 and 2006.

From Vice, also El Paso Times said the same thing

Juarez México had 773 murders in 2017, directly across the border, El Paso, Tx had 19, the only thing separating them is a wall.

yeah the wall has nothing to do with the murder rates from 5 miles away being so different.

Do you even Juarez, genius? Juarez has one of the highest kidnap-murder ratios by population in this hemisphere. The fact that El Paso does not is a great testament to effective border control. But, by all means, you get that 30 cents where you can.

How much has crime risen since 2008? ...Or are you nitpicking?

you are literally too dumb to argue with if you think the wall has nothing to do with the differing murder rates from 3 streets over.
