That’s fine. It’s still a zero sum game.
It's not, that's the problem with this conflation.

Ukraine spending has no relation to infrastructure spending. There is not one static pot of money. Trying to conflate the 2 (implying we don't have money for infrastructure due to Ukraine, or any other policy) is silly.
Note: I am not offering any personal opinions of the system, just accurately describing the reality of the system in place.

It’s okay, the democrats are signing missiles all those people paid for. You know, for democracy.

Are you confused as to how our federal government funds things?
Do you understand that we run deficits and have accumulated huge amounts of debt? How could that happen with the "one pot" theory?

Sure Why bring up Ukraine?
Because the fema funding was attached to one of the Ukraine bills.
They basically say you can’t fund these things without our Ukraine money. And way more goes to Ukraine.

And what amount of FEMA funding was lost due to this?

Imagine if we stopped pissing away money on Ukraine and Israel and poured it into the infrastructure in the US
We have been pouring billions into infrastructure.
Coastal flooding, windmills, solar, trains, and airports all come before highways and bridges.

THIS is a much better argument than trying to link money going to Ukraine as preventing investment in infrastructure, generally.

They spent the FEMA money on Ukraine.

It is. Every dollar spent on x is a dollar you can’t spend on y.

There is one static pot of money. Just because we can add more money to the pot doesn’t mean what you think it means.
If we spend x% of the budget on line item A, that is x% of money LOCKED AWAY that cannot be spent on line item B.
Doesn’t matter that you can just add more money to the pot via the print moar money button.
A dollar spent is a dollar spent. Can’t spend that same dollar on two things. The math don’t math like that.

And it’s funny. I really don’t care about his political beliefs. He’s one of those guys that thinks he’s really intelligent. He uses ridiculous words to make him feel like he’s intellectual but in actuality I bet he’s dull on an IQ test.
