I'd guess that vetting him is something they could have done in a few hours with a decent search. And they didn't.

The next step will be to dig into the hiring process. Did they use a search firm? Because the search firm should’ve easily uncovered his criminal charges and his resume issues. Did Des Moines just ignore the search firm’s background check?

This guy could've been a sex offender and the white liberals would have had no problem putting him in charge of your kids' schools.

I love that this story is ruining her senate campaign before it even began.

bullshite! You're not the victim. You just didn't do your job. Every one of his lies could have been easily discovered with a basic background check. No one bothered to even look.

My guess is they were too busy falling all over themselves to be the strongest virtue signaler by supporting a black 'immigrant' - just like they made themselves look like idiots by supporting a drunk, cackling buffoon simply because it was a female POC.

Idiots. Every damn one of them.

It is too bad the board doesn't have to perform the most basic level of due diligence as part of their a job. I'm an accountant and I have professional liability if I do not perform a certain level of due diligence to assure the information provided to me is correct/truthful. You get the resume of a fricking superintendent, how the hell do you not take a few big items on his resume to confirm them before to you appoint him. Anyone could poke holes in this guy's resume with google, a phone and about 30 minutes (assuming people answer your phone calls which they typically don't and should be a red flag you are on the right track).

What's funny is I bet all the relevant info on this could be gathered in like 5 minutes if there were transparency. Instead, they'll pretend like a formal investigation has to take months.

Shirley someone has already attempted FOIA on them. But notice whoever had initially objected has yet to be named?

Guarantee you the school board is mostly women. Of course they avoid blame. Its what women do. They frick things up then blame others, avoid responsibility and then play the victim

Last I saw they were going to "sue" the firm that did the search/vetting of this fraud. I wonder what kind of charges he might face since pretty much everything he ever put on he resume or curriculum vitae.

That affluent leftist white woman who runs that clown show out there in Iowa, Michelle Obama’s bestie, is living proof of just how ignorant, dangerous, and flat out stupid leftist white women are.

Seriously, there’s something very wrong with them.

They don’t need to be making any decisions of consequence concerning a single other person.

What's wrong with you? Like Michelle Obama, can't you see she is a victim now too?!?!

My prediction is that they threaten it and never actually sue them. I have $20 that says that the search firm returned the information that we are now seeing. And that the school board chose to ignore it in favor of hiring a black guy.

They will also fight the FOIA requests that they are sure to get to see what they were provided by the search firm.

So that's their play....this one guy outsmarted all of them during the employee search, hiring process and during his time in the position.

Let's see how that works out for them.

I am so sick and tired of this overused, meaningless phrase 'I want to be clear.' Idiotic! Also, when all else fails, play the victim role and hope that you're playing to an audience of imbeciles.

They're the victim?! How did they choose the search firm that supposedly looked far and wide for candidates for the post? Who supervised the search process? How much money did taxpayers shell out and what did that money pay for, item by item?

They're full of it and deserve ZERO sympathy. All of them need to be fired and publicly shamed so they can never hold office again or gorge on public funds.

He probably tried this somewhere else and didn’t get the job because his paper work didn’t line up.

Just keep trying for the job until somewhere just hires you without doing any background work.
