I'm in to my second episode of this. Thank you for posting it. Both the Narrative and Motte and Bailey pods have really broken down what I already felt. He does a great job of explaining it and you can tell he's very well read. He is a liberal, but one that I feel we could actually have a debate with about facts. I don't see how he can believe Trump is a post modernist, but whatever.

The question I came away with is what is the end goal of the Critical Theorists? Anarchy, eutopia?

I was thinking this might be an appropriate post for this thread.

I've read several of his articles in the past few days and they've been greatly informative, so thanks to the poster that posted it. I watched the documentary posted about Bret Weinstein's controversy, and while I followed it in real time it still had a good bit of information that I didn't know had occurred.

Just wanted to see if I could bump this back to the top with a link to New Discourses

It's mentioned in this thread several times, and it's been a great resource when trying to figure out just what the hell these people mean without going insane while reading the source material.

Besides more clear definitions of the Critical terms that get thrown around, the advice that you can't give these people the benefit of the doubt and must take them at face value has been a great one. When you do that and stop apologizing for the insanity coming out of their mouths, their objective becomes much clearer.

The one with Bret Weinstein (#1494)
The first hour is an excellent review of the actual current use/effects of CT

Republicans sued to get more locations in the state’s most populous counties. A Federal judge denied the request.

Sucks to suck as much as you do.

I think this to be true, Pf. If you take into consideration Thomas Sowell's idea of "First Principle" establishing trajectory of all rationality from the point wherein said Principle is SUBJECTIVELY adopted...then it's all just talk after that. With competing First Principle adherents only becoming increasingly polarized as the 'debate' 'progresses'.

I further suspect that this assumed First Principle narrative, goes all the way back to philosophical/theological 'Creation'; I.e., take your pick...the Truth of God (perfect Love/Unity)...or the Lie of Lucifer (Self worship).

"nothing new under the sun"; albeit, I run into something personally 'new'...most every single day.

PS...I thought this was a new Thread; didn't realize I had posted the 'Sowell' Idea already. 70 in October.

Carry on.

Have you guys heard Sowell lately?

I was sure I must have been watching an old video. Nope, the man is 90 years old and still brilliant.

That shite is so tired.
The 1st Amendment has long held that CNN "has a right to buy federal election campaigns." Why shouldn't IMB have the same availability?

I like the concept. I think only very simple things can be objective.
Truth is foundational to effective solution. Critical Theory concocts "truths". Then it offers solution based on the concoction.
