New Mexico is a shame.
There are a lot of Republicans there.

Add Vermont to the 0 Republican column. But it's important to note that many of these states have only 1 US House seat/district:
- Alaska (R)
- North Dakota (R)
- South Dakota (R)
- Wyoming (R)
- Delaware (D)
- Vermont (D)
So these don't really count toward anyone's gerrymandering argument.

Don’t include states with only 1 house rep
Alaska
South Dakota
North Dakota
Wyoming
As these states can’t gerrymander one seat
Even 2 seat states are tough to gerrymander.

No they should not count towards the Gerrymandering argument. And to include them in that argument in disingenuous.

Should they stop saying the "Democratic primaries" because that's all anyone ever says?
You ever heard it called the Democrat Primaries?

Hopefully there will be a few more states added to the republican list. Going to be interesting to see how the redistricting effect Congress. Some states that didn’t make changes for this election could still make changes for 2028 .

Let's be fair, a number of those states have only one rep

You can gerrymander yourself into defeat too. Watered down districts will be interesting to watch in November.
Texas rushed it through based in part on Hispanic voting trends from 2024… where sentiment has now reversed course. And Hispanics are now a plurality of the state population.
To whit, Talarico (D) leads Paxton, the likely R nominee, by 5 points. Beto never got there, and I suspect it has to do with Hispanic likely voters along with women.
A similar risk arises in CA, VA etc.. just using Texas as an example here.

thank goodness there are others who find this despicable - there are even highly placed GOP officials who use 'democratic' party.
Drives me crazy

Beto was leading in polls, then people got to know that weirdo.

To those fleeing Texas Democrats that say that they are saving democracy in Texas and the United States relative to congressional redistricting, here are the facts:
MA: 36% Republican, 0 seats
CT: 42% Republican, 0 seats
ME: 46% Republican, O seats
NM: 46% Republican, O seats
NH: 48% Republican, O seats
RI: 42% Republican, O seats
VT: 32% Republican, O seats
HI: 38% Republican, 0 seats
DE: 42% Republican, O seats
Also, as to some of the blue states that were benevolent enough to give us a smidgen:
CA: 38% Republican, only 9 of 52 seats (20.9%)
IL: 44% Republican, only 3 of 17 seats (17.6%)
NY: 43% Republican, only 7 of 26 seats (26.9%)
MD: 34% Republican, only 1 of 8 seats (12.5%)
NJ: 46% Republican, only 3 of 12 seats (25%)
OR: 41% Republican, only 1 of 6 seats (16.7%)
Why is it that if Republicans do redistricting, it's a threat to democracy. Yet, if Democrats do redistricting, it's democracy itself.

They should absolutely stop saying it. They rigged their 2016 and 2020 primaries to change the outcome, and then bypass a 2024 primary entirely.
It is quite literally the opposite of democratic.
Posted on 5/7/26 at 7:24 pm to MasterDigger
I said the same thing recently. There is nothing democratic about the democrat party.

New Mexico will slowly shift more red over the next 5 years. It will in my opinion follow Nevadas path that took place toward that Red category
