The border is not secure. The illegals have the ability to enter the country. If they can enter the country the border is open. Deportation is of some benefit but there are many who are not rounded up and deported.

Raising taxes can place downward pressure on demand which can lower inflation. I don’t think it’s the best tool in the bag to address inflation. Interest rates are usually the first item to adjust, which was done by the Fed.
I think you’re referencing the recent inflation targeting legislation.
Per Forbes: The Tax Policy Center analyzed the big climate, health, and tax bill three different ways. The bill is quite progressive every time. On average, the after-tax incomes of low- and moderate-income households either would go up a bit or not change in any measurable way. The average after-tax incomes of high-income people would decline. But on average, the vast majority of households will barely notice any tax change, one way or the other.
I don’t know of any statements to the effect “there is no inflation”. There were earlier remarks, which were hopeful but incorrect, that inflation would be transitory and short term.

Just because we have a guy who fights back against the swamp and isn’t a typical corrupt politician, our admiration is dismissed as “hero worship”. The media worshipped Obama and set him on a pedestal. It was so blatant and as President he did nothing at all to make this country better but they still worship him like he was the greatest thing to ever happen to this country.

doc bullshite" with great interest. I don't propose any utopia policies, and I've never come close to being a commie. It's not my kind of club. Maybe if Engels or Trotsky had better senses of humor, but nah...
The attacks on the law( including those who enforce it), as well as our judicial system, by some of the Republicans is shameful and destructive.

You’re right. Obama was worshiped by the left leaning media and many of his flaws were ignored.

How stupid does one have to be to actually believe this. The Obama administration used govt agencies for political attacks and the Biden administration is doing the exact same thing. I believe another poster has already cited deportation numbers to support that the current administration does not have an open border policy.
Also, I don’t believe I’ve commented on the independence of the DOJ. It should function independently, but it hasn’t for many administrations, including the Trump era.
