Having a ballroom to hold those events is about the least wasteful thing FedGov spends money on.

Is a nation wealthy?
Are they improving? Declining?
This has been universally agreed upon since ancient Babylon, so while you’re welcome to your opinion very few if anyone objectively analyzing this would agree with you.
