Do you agree?
quote:

We need to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about COVID.

quote:

Some of these choices turned out better than others. To take an example close to my own work, there is an emerging (if not universal) consensus that schools in the U.S. were closed for too long: The health risks of in-school spread were relatively low, whereas the costs to students’ well-being and educational progress were high. The latest figures on learning loss are alarming.  But in spring and summer 2020, we had only glimmers of information. Reasonable people—people who cared about children and teachers—advocated on both sides of the reopening debate.

Another example: When the vaccines came out, we lacked definitive data on the relative efficacies of the Johnson & Johnson shot versus the mRNA options from Pfizer and Moderna. The mRNA vaccines have won out. But at the time, many people in public health were either neutral or expressed a J&J preference. This misstep wasn’t nefarious. It was the result of uncertainty.

quote:

The standard saying is that those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. But dwelling on the mistakes of history can lead to a repetitive doom loop as well. Let’s acknowledge that we made complicated choices in the face of deep uncertainty, and then try to work together to build back and move forward.

Reasonable people could tell by August of 20 what was being done. Those of you that ignored it did so for a reason.

The writer will be asking for another amnesty for this statement within a couple years.

If you want forgiveness, stop screwing up.

Let’s see the left argue for forgiveness for something the right wing did or vice versa, instead of arguing for forgiveness for itself

y'all (the Atlantic) wanted people to lose their jobs and livelihoods for not taking a shot with less than 18 months of research. GTFOOH.

Yesterday’s decision hinges on a new and alarming embrace of the right-wing crusade against vaccination.
Vaccine Refusers Don’t Get to Dictate Terms Anymore

i can forgive most politicians for things in April and May of 2020, but past that, they were just wielding power because they could and deserve no forgiveness on this Earth. Not because I'm against forgiveness, i'm in favor of it. But those people were so dead set on settled science and shutting down debate, that it wasn't a "mistake" or "misstep."

Absolutely fricking not!....Ever! Because "forgiveness" would just lead to the illogical, emotional, loons making the EXACT SAME illogical emotional decisions the next time around.

I'm always willing to forgive someone who made a mistake and as learned from a mistake (within reason). But there will be no learning. No self reflection.

I’m not going to let the Fauci Freaks change the narrative after the fact. Anyone who wanted to know what was going on then could find the information if they wanted.

That whore can get right on fricked and I will continue to rub her nose in her shite. The freak conditioned her 4 year old kid to yell at another child for getting too close to him while hiking in the woods.

She gets no sympathy here.

You can't claim ignorance when most of these enforcements were done to punish people. Don't ask for forgiveness in one breath while pointing the finger at the same time. I'm not listening to this point of view unless it comes with a pledge to question and fight any future lockdowns along with numerous other government overreaches.

Never forget. Soft, bitchy people destroyed children and people's livelihoods because they were afraid of their own shadow.

Never forget what they did to you while blaming you the entire time.

Never forget you were right from the start.

I forgive the average Joe and Jane on the street for being swept up in the fear mongering, but the powers that be need to at least come clean with the American people before we should let them off the hook. They were the one’s who stoked the fires and used all of the fear and hysteria for more power and influence over the lives of a supposed “free people”. YEAH RIGHT…. I’m disappointed in those “free people” for caving so easily and willing to surrender everything to government’s demands and even those who allowed it to attack their fellow Americans like obedient little government pawns, but such is a people who really don’t even know their founding principles or care anymore.

I’ll call an Amnesty when we get the death penalty for the following people which will call for a public execution:

Anthony Fauci
Bill Gates
Peter Daszak
Andrew Cuomo
Robert Gallo
Randi Weingarten
Gavin Newsome
Phil Murphy
Gretchen Whitmer
Deborah Birx
Albert Bourla
Stéphane Bancel

And a few dozen others, but that’s just on the top of my head. Also life sentences for several hundred others. These people I’ve listed are every bit as evil as the High Command of Nazi Germany and deserve their fate.
